@@cabbageashthe1st594 That's the issue with the UHT with PARS 3 LR. If that pilot is competent there is absolutely nothing any SPAA can do against it. They just fly barely high enough to get a lock the dive down. If they run out of missiles, they're already at their heli base. A competent UHT pilot will deplete all SPAA of any defence and get away completely fine.
@@Mort221 fortunately in this particular case he wasn't very cunning to say the least. instead of repositioning to get a better angle he pops up and down on pretty much the same spot, no wonder most of the PARS got intercepted
Cope, I'm currently spading the 2A7 and the amount of shots I'm surviving is bullshit. Russian CAS only dominates because nobody EVER spawns spaa. Gripens, F-16Cs or the Mirages are a lot more effective if u use your brain.
@@TheGamingLab_ThePlayingLab Except it isn't. Its only real advantage are the gen 3 thermals which don't matter as much when the Swedish ones have gen 2/3 on the commander. Surely you'll say (like most players) it has better firepower, but slighty higher pen ≠ better firepower, the Strv 122s have much better rounds in terms of damage. On top of that they have much better armor and a tremendously better lineup... not even close.
@@leviathantsp The gen 3 is for gunner on 2A7V, Sweden has Gen 1 for gunner, makes a difference. And the DM53 dart is better. As the damage profile is still similar enough to be compared. Along with a higher velocity.
@@TheGamingLab_ThePlayingLab I already stated the type of thermals those tanks have and where. Of course the gen 3 for gunner is better, but that alone doesn't make the vehicle better, specially after the shadow nerf Gaijin did (only to the German ones btw, check at the end) About the shell, no, it's not. It's a sidegrade, the 2A7 gets higher pen in exchange for less damage. The velocity difference is minimal (1750 vs 1705), so small you can't even see it, but now compare the weight 5kg vs 5.6kg of the Strvs, this is very hard to measure but it can be the difference between dying or not. Not to mention, since you have to aim for weakspots with both, it's irrelevant if one has slighty higher pen, you can't lol pen Russian tanks with either anyway. If you fight against something with bad armor, like an Abrams, then the scales goes towards Sweden even more, since higher pen is completely useless there. If you are still not convinced I suggest you to go to the protection analysis, shot any dart at the breach, right under the cannon barrel of the 2A7 and then repeat the same with the Strv 122s, and tell me if the damage is the same on both tanks.
