I started watching late 2006 when Teddy Long put King Booker 1 on 1 with the UNDATAKA, Deadman immediately became my favorite once I saw his epic entrance.

Ahhh 2006, the year I got introduced to WWE. Good times!

2006 to 2009 was my favorite of the Ruthless Aggression/PG era.

My dad took me to Backlash 2006. I was a middle schooler. I was a fan of RVD, Shawn Michaels, Edge, Triple H, and Shelton Benjamin. I'll never forget that moment. He also took me to an un televised smackdown event, and when he saw my favorite wrestler Rey Mysterio he said "I could beat him up" lol. Those were some fun nights out as a kid.

While the original DX was the best, I actually liked the 2006 version. It was more kid friendly but they still did some adult content & it was light-hearted.

This was one of the last best years of wwe in my opinion. Excitement of watching wwe diminished slowly after 2006

John Cena vs Edge in 2006 is my favorite feud of both their careers. This is the feud which showcased both of them at their absolute best. It solidified Edge and Cena as the top guys of the company.

Damn bro was waiting months for this!!! Love the quality as always. Keep these year ones going cause they're dope! You should also do these 10-20 minute long videos of rivalries in depth e.g. the batista and HHH rivalry from 2005 starting from after the royal rumble or Randy Orton v HHH in 2009. Would love to see it covering every match and promo etc.

2006 and 2007 were the last genuinely enjoyable years of wwe for me . After this I grew out of wwe and the PG style that followed, so this year is very nostalgic

Actually it was the other way around. Triple H was getting outnumbered by the spirit squad as a punishment because he accidentally hit Shane with a sledgehammer the week prior. Vince was making him wrestle one member of the Spirit Squad and would call out another member every few minutes to come out and outnumber Triple H. Then right before he called the last one out, the member was tossed out of the entrance by Shawn and then Shawn ran into the ring to help Triple H fight off the rest of the Squad and they reunited DX

I really wish you'd take the time to cover the major storylines instead of just reading the match results. The latter info is pretty meaningless w/o context. Trish vs Mickie was arguably the greatest women's feud ever, but you just made it sound like a last-minute booking decision.

Best Ruthless Aggression year since 2002-03 imo

2006 had its ups and downs on both shows but overall I thought it was pretty solid. There was so much fun stuff going on. Edge really came into his own as top heel with Lots by his side and was putting on some of the best matches of his career. He was riding a massive wave of nuclear heat every week, his performance at Wrestlemania 22 against Mick Foley was legendary. After many years of bad feeling and buckets of blood spilled, Triple H and Shawn Michaels got back together to reform DX. Kurt Angle became a legit wrestling machine, Undertaker was dominant and reunited with Kane to work with Kennedy and MVP. John Cena was getting booed every week which made for some very interesting situations especially with crowd reactions. Edge and Orton joined forces to form Rated RKO to wage war against DX which was fantastic. Aside from some clunkers like the December To Dismember ppv and the Great Khali, there was a lot of good things going on in 2006 and for me, this was one of the best times during my college days.

I had to laugh at what was said about The Undertaker around 8:28-8:33... I watched 'WWE Judgment Day 2006' with a friend of mine & his cousin & thought the same thing during his match against The Great Khali.

We all know this series is Outstanding. Will you be doing year in review for the 1980s? Golly, I hope so!

I disliked Rey Mysterio's push, because of the exploitation of Eddie Guerrero's death. It even went as far as Randy Orton saying Guerrero was in hell, that pissed me off. Other than that, I did like the DX reunion despite the fact that wasn't as good as the late 90's version, but it did have a couple of my favorite moments. The McMahon parodies, and HHH and HBK changing Vince McMahon's voice in the TV truck etc.

Paul London and Brian Kendrick are severely underrated tag team and they are definitely WWE's last greatest tag team in over the past decade

After Eddie died, I couldn't watch the product anymore. I finally gave up watching wrestling in 2006. Only knew the roster because of the SVR and Day of Reckoning games. Also I watched Spinnernet and Wrestling Jesus back in the day.

Plz keep going til atleast 2010 or start a new series for WCW year in reviews from 90 til the buyout

I've got hooked into RU-vid in August 2006, when I was downloading Sega Genesis Roms for my Upcoming 17th Birthday I was at my Auntie House in Fairfield, Alabama.

2006 was the High School Graduation Senior Class were T.J., Vince, Mikey, Gus, Spinelli, Gretchen, The Ashleys (Armbruster, Boulet, Quinlan, Tomassian) were my favorite Saturday Morning Legends have Graduated High School and Off to College.

As a whole, 2006 wasn't one of WWE's best years, in my opinion...

06 Armageddon is one of the most underrated shows ever. Two huge rare matches, the 4 way ladder match, great matches up and down. Vince ruined ECW.

You didn't mention the fatal 4 way tag team ladder match at Armageddon!? It was a bonus match added to make up for the bad ECW show. The tag title match was tweaked, and Hardys & MNM were added. It's the infamous match where Joey Mercury gets his face smashed.
