Jack Frisbee, The Other Side of Paradise. Jack survived years of physical and mental abuse (Trauma) from his father. This led to some horrific decision-making and its accompanying results.
Jack is giving us all an inside look at the other side of paradise. Things that happen in a place most think of as a vacation place, paradise when compared to the mainlands, or just a getaway. Many people have lived through the conversion of indigenous lands into a tourist attraction.
That influx of industry brought with it the musket gun, alcohol, and many people who were abused and abusive were ‘legally’ given license to take over paradise. Well, they systematically completed that task. In the midst of oppression, there are many who fall by the wayside. Absolutely unaware as to the how’s and the why’s the are in the condition and ultimately the position they are currently in.
Jack's family suffered through years of rage and violence. A father who drank constantly, coupled with the ability to kick ass, there was apparently no rescuing Jack and his family from their father. He kicked Aunties ass, Uncles ass; meanwhile the rest of the community would not come close to him.
Life choices that might seem easy to those who haven't suffered such trauma, become life changing to those who suffer. It appears to remove some logic and replace that with a penchant towards violence.
Imagine if you will, being told to grab a beer for your father. Before you could even stand up, he throws a fork and embeds it into your collar-bone. After all the pain, you still get up and get the beer. Yeah, Jack was a good boy.
You can then imagine Jack transitioning into systemic genres designed for his destruction; organized crime and prison. It follows a natural progression since the time he was born and violently abused.
Baby Jack being thrown down a hill of 'A'â lava at 2 1/2 years old, only to have your Makua (Mother) come scoop you up off the hill with her face smashed in and teeth missing... A young mother who tried her best to fight, but was in a daily losing battle.
Yes, this is the other side of paradise. Too late from some, but we are pushing to be on time for the Kieki so they can actually realize paradise.
