Yeasu ft991a programming memory and naming memory channel. 

I got me one of them thar Yaesu 991a's. Sure do like that thar radio. It be a gut radio. Got me a friend that programmed the radio for me (thanx Ken). I cain't believe it tuned up my long wire antenna on 6 meters since it be a long wire OCF for 160 to 10 meters. But it will tune my Antron 99 on 10 meters too. A gut radio that was MARS mod by the dealer (GIgaParts). Kudos and 73 from W Rusty Lane K9POW in eastern Tennessee

KG5PTE here in Texas. How do I program a frequency range ? Lime 28.300 to 29.400 ?So the radio scan the entire ten meter band ?

Have you tried going to a saved memory and changing one parameter, say AM to FM and then re-saving... there is a %75 chance or even more you will loose the complete settings, if you had freq offsets or split stored which takes ages to do this is a pain as you have to start again, however bizarrely sometimes it does it OK, a definite bug... and there are others....

hi edwin im new to this radio so thanks for your page but one thing missing i programed all my fave freqs but when i go to where i want to i can dial round the freqs they are all listed but after scrolling wheres enter or what ever i select the freq but it just goes off the memory i saved do i have to press a ok or enter to use the saved freq
