If I set this radio do do winlink email on uhf vhf and then ft-8 on Hf what radio menu settings need to be set ? Or are they the same for winlink and ft 8 ?
Good video. Going into and controlling the memory channels can be confusion. You have to tell the multi function knob it is going to take control of the memories. Neat radio. I have one and love it. Barry, KU3X
How's it going, you're the only Ki5 call i've heard on RU-vid. My callsign is KI5JQL. You like the 991a? I'm thinking i'm about to pick one up as my first HF radio.
You'll love it, here's some videos on DNR and some 10 Meter Long Distance - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wNufwU_FMRo.html and ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2OEyFM613lw.html
I just bought the Yaesu FT-991A and it works great, the only issue I have is with the memory programming. I program 19 channels and when I program the 20th channel, it shows that it’s programmed but it wouldn’t let me scan through the memory channels? Until I remove the 20th channel it will work again! Thanks for any help 👍
Good evening Great Scott!! I recall this before watch the video and see if fixes the problem, let me know if this fixes the problem, if it does not let me know and I do some digging, thanks again this is the video link '73 !! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DEdHGJQptAQ.html
@@westtexasvideogateski5juf255 I didn’t look at the video yet my question to is. If the memory is 1 to 99 I should be able to program any channel or frequency in the memory that I seen on the video on RU-vid. So I don’t understand why I can go pass memory #20 spot! I posted a video of my problem @ Great Scott RC on RU-vid 73 de N3VCD

Rotate the “MULTI” function knob to select Menu item “034 MEM GROUP” 3. Tap “SELECT” on the LCD, rotate the “knob “MULTI” function knob to select "ENABLE” 4. Tap "ENTER" on the LCD to save the new setting. 5. Press “MENU/SETUP” or the “BACK” button on the LCD screen to exit, operation will be restricted to the six Memory groups. 5. @@westtexasvideogateski5juf255 Thanks for the help, I had to disable 034 to be able to program more channels. Now I’m at 23 on the memory. It also gives me 5 MHz as well. That seems goofy but livable
