Thank you for these videos. I really enjoy watching them in slow motion too, it’s fun to see how well they really get in the water and take a bath. Some are so fast, they are amazing and so beautiful.
@@WarblerRidge It’s easy for me once I found out all I need to do is use the gear symbol top right corner on all the YT videos and select “Playback Speed” I select 0.25X which is the slowest. YT even lets us know where normal setting is. You can speed videos up too. I’m just kinda geeky and still learning about YT. Thanks again for the lovely and relaxing birdie videos. 👍🏻♥️
You "did" catch the vireo!! Well done!! In spite of the beauty of the brilliantly colored birds I realize my real favorites are the plainer ones. Chickadees, wrens, chipping sparrows and titmice, they're like the difference between your dress shoes and your comfy old slippers. 😄!! The close ups are just wonderful but it was nice when you panned out to see how busy it can be. The little wren seemed to rather enjoy a shower up above 😍. Every year I catch a brief glimpse of the tiniest little brown bird out my kitchen window. It's smaller than a chickadee. It's coloring is like a house wren but it has a round head and short tail. Could it be a juvenile? It's got me stumped. It's so adorable but never stays still long enough for me to get a really good look. And I usually see it just the one time. I so appreciate all the work and time you put in to create these videos. Thank you!! Have a great week!! 🥰🌿♥️
Wrens do have stubby little tails when they’re recently fledged. I bet you are seeing that year’s new wrens 🙂 I feel like some of the more common birds, like the Titmice and Wrens are more interesting to watch than the colorful visitors, but that may just be because I’ve had more of a chance to get to know them. I was just thinking this week about, if I could only have one type of bird here with me, which would I choose, and I think it would be the Tufted Titmice. They were the first bird to greet me when I moved here and they’re such cheerful, good company a I never get tired of seeing them 🙂. Thanks for watching and have a great week!
How often do you add water? Do you ever drain it and put in fresh water (I would think not because of the bog filer you set up) Thanks for your delightful videos. I love watching them.
I add water every day during the summer unless we get a lot of rain. I do drain the water and flush everything out in the early spring and sometimes again in late summer/early fall. Since several gallons of new water is added daily, it’s getting a complete fresh water exchange pretty regularly. Plus, when I add water, I hose down the surround rocks and rinse the pebble bed in the bathing area. Keeps everything fresh and clean.
