Must have entered in through the out spout. Replaced with this unit and levels dropped a bit but still over 4.0.Did some more digging and found that we had a small hole under our waste pipe that was allowing some water and radon in.Patched the hole and the levels dropped almost overnight.I really would recommend the radon sensor. It gives real time readings. Without it we would have never known that we had this issue.

Don't use cardboard in any area subject to moisture. Even damp air will weaken an eventually rot out this cardboard. Use plywood or metal flashing instead.
Where did you get the little gasket for the cable? Does it come with the kit? Also, where can this be purchased? Is there a solar panel that can mount to a wall (facing south) instead of on the roof? I want to use this in a barn. Also, using cardboard is not a good idea for areas with high humidity and rain with high winds. If it gets damp it will deteriorate. I'd suggest something like Reflectix or a plastic sheet. You could probably use some of the plastic that glues up to walls in bathrooms. Having a round gable vent might also help.
I currently only have soffit intake vents, however, I’m considering adding a Gable Fan Vent. My question is, should I one Gable fan on each side? Also, if I should only have one, would it be a good idea to have 2 Gable vents and only one with a fan?
One of the shortcomings of solar is it only works when there is sun. This unit will stop functioning in the evening and miss the opportunity to cool the attic.
This is why you can get a charge controller and 12v DC battery that can store up enough juice to power it through the night. Like 10Ah or something would be good.
Installation procedures are adequate. You are wrong. Cardboard in dry attic is ok. You have paper backed insulation. Drilling through shingles is the only practical solution as long as you seal properly. All work was adequate.
He was only 3 courses of shingles from top . He could have removed cap shingle and removed shingles below carefully. They do get very brittle in time. This would have allow him to drill hole and run cable under shingle to hole. Would have gave it best chance of not leaking...
