This is the “slow” song on the album but this only sets you up for the third and last song which is a “banger” !!

You don’t have to apologize for liking this better than other songs you’ve heard from Yes. It’s all subjective. I can tell you that everything has a purpose in their music, it’s all there for a reason, to convey a message, a mood or just to push the boundaries of the music. And You And I is achingly beautiful, a wonderful palette cleanser in between CTTE and the next song, Siberian Khatru. Keep in mind what your favorite song is while listening to Siberian Khatru. This piece - and all the rest of Yes music - is much much better live. You can find the Montreux jazz festival version, inserted among the other pieces in the live version of the full Yes symphonic live 2003 concert. The whole concert is the best I've every seen, and heard. It's on RU-vid.
