@@Kaylee-Bear I suppose that's fair as well. It also shows a lot of character progression because in prime 3 iirc she goes fucking ballistic against Meta Ridley versus her being willing to put the gun down when asked in Dread.

@@V0idedOut-E33 the thing against Ridley is also a personal grudge - since he killed her parents in front of her. But I do agree, it is a good character progression.

They did something similar in Samus Returns with a Fusion mode (unfortunately locked behind an amiibo) where you take, I think 4x as much damage as normal mode and 2x more than hard mode. Prime Remastered already has a hard mode, I wish they added their own Fusion mode to it as well.

​@@jsc1jake512 But for Fusion Mode in Samus Returns, it was literally just a paint job. They didn't model the Fusion Suit in that game like they did in Prime.

Idk man, I love the Gravity suit, that purple-neon green-aqua blue combination looks great imo Varía suit on the other hand is a mess, and it isn’t even the suit’s design fault, but rather the designers of the color palette, you can look for the Fusion Repalette hack to see what I mean, it looks way better when done right

I think they're okay. It's mainly the Varia Suit in the middle that looks kind of ugly, particularly in its sprite work. Although maybe they made it look kinda gross on purpose? Who's to say, but I think they handled it better in Dread, where each suit is progressively more healed than the last. Kinda makes me wonder how the suit will look when it's fully healed. Surely it won't literally be the same as in Super, given that it and she are part Metroid now, right? Also, I find it funny how they changed the Varia colors for the Fusion Suit, because they had to save it for the end with that unnamed orange suit. Then Dread comes along and treats the orange one like it IS the Varia suit. It's a little confusing.

@Pulse Fel Yeaaaa it remains to be seen what Prime 4 would even be about. While I'd love for them to do something between Fusion and Dread, I kind of doubt it.

Fusion Varia is an abomination of design. It's just ugly. Neither Art or In-game saves this one. Green-yellow on orange for in-game, Green-yellow on *purple* for art. It's horrendous. Fusion Gravity doesn't look great in-game raw, but the art works a lot better. This is because the sprite uses purple over green, while the art uses Purple over a dark shade of Teal. Fusion Omega *should* look good by it's art, since the color should be the original varia (Orange on Yellow), but it doesn't. Fusion Omega, in game, is Orange on Dark Green. I don't mind the Fusion suit, but they made the right call in completely reworking the design for Dread. But it's also worth noting that on a real GBA, the colors aren't as bad. This is because the screen of the GBA itself was unlit, so the colors looked more muted.

Actually, the spikes are there. They’re on the back of the arm on the elbow. They always have been there, not the forearm like one would originally think.

I made that mistake before when I first ever saw the fusion suit too lol.

Don't think it is, given how it's acquired in the original GameCube version. But I'd love if they implemented something with having save data from the new NSO stuff included in that same direct.

I was wondering why I couldn’t unlock the suit, then I realized I played fusion on the gba emulator, and the unlock isn’t in the remasters.

@@RatRhapsody Yeah, you needed the GameCube Game Boy Advance Link Cable in order to unlock the Fusion Suit in Metroid Prime. I don't know if it would have worked with a GBA or GameCube emulator, and it certainly doesn't work on the Switch.

@@omegamanGXE I do have the Prime Trilogy for the Wii, but I really only played Echoes on it, since I didn't play that one; I played and beat Prime and Corruption before getting the Prieme Trilogy. Even then, I didn't beat Echoes. Now, I have to start all over again on my Wii U, because our original model Wii was fried in 2016 when a bolt of lightning struck our house. It was one of several electronic devices that we lost due to that incident.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but for the original, didn't you need to own a GBA, a copy of Fusion *and* the GBA link stuff to get this suit? If so, then I'd wager an Amiibo is far cheaper of an unlock than that.

In files code it IS but for some reason the suit is hidden as "FALSE" code. My guess is because the team didnt have time or focus on remaster models, effects, etc to remodel it or the placeholder is from Trilogy Prime 1 for as a placeholder.

Wouldn't have made sense even though the fusion suit doesnt really either from a timeline standpoint. The whole prime series (excluding 4 because its not done yet and they could possibly make it take place later) takes place between metroid 1 and 2. Fusion was 4 and dread was 5. So samus hadn't gotten the DNA infusion or dealt with the x yet. Plus it would have meant adding to the game instead of just reworking controls and textures.

Me too… what if they add a free DLC and add Fusion Mode? That’d be kinda funny but also, well, it would probably not be very fun if bosses get higher HP pools

Yea to get this suit you need the og gamecube version and you need a gameboy advance and you need Metroid fusion and you need the link cable and you need to beat fusion or something like that.
