Ok but the unknown could work as a villain. Willy wonka is often portrayed a creative. The unknown could serve as a personification of doubt , like how you dont know what will happen when try to achieve your dreams or something . As a bonus twist , it could be revealed that Wonka never notices the unknown , or at least has no fear when he dose. It could be seen as a sign of his optimism or perhaps his recklessness. Meanwhile, the unknown is just doing his job. He wants to scare you, but only so you won't charge recklessly in to him.

@bungeetoons That's how they do it with this generation of generative AI. They process exclusively what others have made and recombine it according to some parameters. Human minds do something similar, but they are also capable of so much more, like coming up with original things, as well as far more complex permutations using far more influences and elements, themselves permutations of other things. These generative AIs operate at a very primitive level, compared to the vast complexity of even an average human mind.

He hates children, he makes chocolate laced with drugs for use on unwitting victims so that he can brainwash them into becoming his minions, and his end goal is to pretty much destroy the Wonka legacy and everything that Willy himself has built.

I'm a horror specialist and I'm so pissed at people immediately turning to horror when they wanna take advantage of a character right lately (Mickey Mousetrap seriously). It further damages an already underrated masterpiece of a genre. HOWEVER a horror film based off/parodying The Unknown and the experience wholly sounds like an amazing idea. I just hope they're creative with it and don't just make it a stupid slasher. It's Willy Wonka for crying out loud AND you have a villain that suits some kind of folklore-ish kind of monster like Krampus. Please don't let it be a cliche cashgrab, whoever is making this.

To be honest, if there was going to be any childhood media turned into a horror movie, I'd say Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory would be a good one. I mean, one kid gets sucked into the freaking pipes, if that says anything. There's definitely potential, but I don't expect this movie to act on it.

I’ve seen a clip were someone who attended the event said that they weren’t actually expecting anything like in the posters because they knew it wasn’t gonna be all like that, but they did expect something a lot more than what was shown. So you can’t really say that they fell for it based solely on the AI images.

the thing with the actor dating a 16 Y/o is a moot point because the AoC in Scotland is 16, as far as the law of his country is concerned, he's clean, curiously, US law doesn't extend to other countries, go figure. that said, everything else about the event is terrible, and it'll likely set an awful precedent going forward, it's a shame someone's even trying to capitalize on the scam with a horror anime, but at least it'll be so shoddily made and be out so much after the relevance has passed that it'll only be a footnote of this whole story. amazing, terrible experience with a Willy from top to bottom
