I’d recommend using a front facing light source. The light is coming from one side in this video so it’s hard to tell if the contour is a different colour or just darker because light isn’t directly on it
@@ejohnson3131you missed the point of this persons comment. At the start of the video she’s trying to show us that contour is cool undertone and bronzer is warm undertone, but she puts the contour on the side of her face in shadow so we can’t see the true color of it well. If she wants to better show us the difference a front facing light source would be ideal
For the longest time I thought I had really dark under eye... I then realised it was the lighting in my bathroom. Above head lighting was creating a shadow under my eye. That's really the only mirror I look in so I wasn't realising.
sometimes bronzer doesn't work for cool skin tones it makes us look washed out instead of bronzed , if your cool toned stick with satin dewy looks rather than gold and matte looks
you can use blush instead of bronzer. They do the same thing, people only prefer bronzer because that's a beaty standard this day. But you can chose more natural blush color. My blush isnt a bright pink color. Kinda like a warm pink. It works for me cause my skin is neutral-cool
@@6maria94I like the tarte one it’s like a deep rosy color & it acts like a “bronzer” on me bcuz I’m so “fair” light pale paper towel colors whatever 😂😂I have “olive” undertones and most bronzers look like poop smears on my cheeks😂😢super crappy lol I don’t really like or love blushes but I can say this one tarte one does the trick for my skin! Trial and error and lots of $$ wasted but so worth it to find the right products that helps change your life for the better. Not exactly “life-changing” ok, but making life a little easier to navigate 😂
Great job explaining the difference! Now if you add a matte highlighter to accentuate the highest points on your face, it would look snatched AF. Highlighter should only be applied sparingly, not in stripes all over your face like influencers want you to believe.
Omg this explains so much. I tried contouring my nose and it just kept looking like I had sunburn and I was like, I give up. But it must’ve been too warm toned 🤦🏻♀️.
She could’ve at at least, said what shade of contour she used so we know what to buy, but that’s kind of pointless now because most of us know the difference, but yeah
Yes you can, after using this particular technique I recommend using a powder blush with a super soft brush or cream blush and then a little powder blush then highlight..put the blush nearest to the apples of your cheeks very lightly!..but you can place blush almost anywhere as long as you use it lightly and work your way up with pigment.
