Yesterday's Children - The Movie - Irish Locations 

The verses are sung in the Irish language (Gaelic) initially and then in the English translation. The Gaelic verse is really beautiful.

This movie changed my life and nowadays I am living in Ireland. Thanks for your video.

We love this movie as when they discover the name of the main person Annie Sutton it shook me as this was my late mothers name and the wonderful scenery on location I felt that I was really there...thank you

This film was great the scenery the actors and the story, what I found haunting was that in the graveyard the name ..Mary Sutton..was my late mothers name it shook me for a while when i first watched it what a fascinating story

You are most welcome. If it hadn't been for you I wouldn't have even heard of this movie let alone see it even though it was filmed in three of my most favourite places :). I've even since bought the book and the DVD. I will shortly be uploading a video of the real places in Dublin where the story took place.

don't know if it is because i am getting on in life but never got on with harry potter but little devon murry played a small but good part in this film.i was in tears every time i saw this lovely family who despite having an abusive dad seemed to keep their pecker up despite all that happened to them.is the lane on swords road near the M1 by a roundabout with a road sign by the side of it that reads 106(malahide)and l12142(holywell)?me and a friend went to Ireland for a week in the 1970s and enjoyed it fully.i tried a real before and after vid some time back with old photos and new ones i took but it didn't come out very well.thanks for all your work and for posting.

I got the book the other day from amazon uk. Malahide is a beautiful place although no longer a village. Portmarnock the same. I got lucky yesterday with the weather being nice for filming.

It is the Anglican Church of Ireland. You would have no problem finding it. It is a 2-minute walk from the bus stop in the tiny village.

You didn't mention Cabinteely in Dublin, which was used for 2 weeks to film scenes that were shown as the American side of the movie.

Can you say me the name of that church in newcastle please?there are a lot :-) greets from germany

by the way i live within a mile of a village called sutton near docaster,south yorkshie,england and there is even a family called sutton living there.

to patcalutube.sorry but i clicked the link you suggested but just got back to your irish locations video which you worked so hard to do.on google maps both satellite and street view i saw a grassy area that was opposite castle downs road along swords road near malahide.is this where the lane is.i don't know how much you know but often wondered if the cottages in the film both built and knocked down were sets,real or one of each.anyway i hope i have got the location of the lane right now.thanks.
