Well, yah, it seems they are working on that... they took it down during the era where people didn't care as much about Nostalgia... Most kids born in the 90's were still in high school or middle school during that period and it was 4-5 years later that they became working adults or have higher pay... Around the time Pokemon Go came out was when a good chunk 90's born kids were working for a paycheck or close to it.
If I’ve learned one thing, when you’re in the passionate consumers position, everything that seems beneficial to both us and the business seems to never come to fruition. The decision makers rarely share our experience and are way higher up the totem pole than the passionate minds that actually work to create this stuff Whether it’s Call of Duty or theme parks, the fan base, specifically the passionate’s, wishes and views are rarely realized
*3, 2, 1* *Gotta Blast!* *Reach to the stars* *Fueled by candy bars* *Rides a kid with a knack for inventions* *Ah!* *A super-powered mind* *A mechanical K-9!* *Bark Bark!* *Rescues the day from sure destruction* *H-he-he-help!* *This is the theme song* *AhHh!* *Of Jimmy Neutron*
I remember this ride vividly. It was great. I also remember the chairs being so small that my dad couldn't fit inside and was kind of upset when the rest of the family got on the ride while he stood awkwardly in the back lol
To bad they didn't keep to the updating every couple of years thing. I would have loved them to interact with the characters from Avatar the Last Airbender!!!
True Story: One time, during a visit to Universal Studios, I decided to say hello to Spongebob Squarepants. He noticed I was carrying material from "that other theme park just up the road", and naturally expressed his displeasure. I explained to him that it was the only item I could quickly grab in my rush to get here, and what he did next was totally unprecedented. He left his area to point out the various merchandise (hats, t-shirts, etc) with his face on it. My conclusion: Spongebob Squarepants has been hanging around Mr. Krabs a bit too long.
Yes, I am the last surviving fan of Jimmy Neutron and my life has nothing but been living in fear ever since they stopped the show. We were once a massive nation of fans but as Orlando University Studios came knocking one by one at our doors the number of us fans dwindled to the point where we are today as me, the sole survivor. I gotta blast now as I hear them draw near but tell the people out there of this genocide so we can never go unnoticed for Nickelodeon’s heinous crimes.
Miles Morales Wait, another fan? What is this? I thought Nickelodeon killed all of us. Is there some sort of underground resistance against this horrific company that I didn’t know about? Man, this is the best news I’ve heard in years.
@@thegreatslothlord7796 YES! There is a resistance comprising of the few remaining fans of Jimmy Neutron join us friend as we seek revenge for the deplorable actions carried out by Universal Studios.
This took me way way way back to when I was a kid and went on holiday to the studios. Such a happy time of my life. It’s strange how memories you forgot you had come flooding back just from one clip. I’ll never forget picking up my stuffed spongebob at the studios
Some golden childhood memories here! I went on that Jimmy Neutron ride on my family trip to universal back in 2004. I also got to visit Nickelodeon studios only a few months before it closed.
Wow this was an awesome video, I may not have been to Universal studios but I was definitely a Nick fan and a big Jimmy Neutron fan, this was awesome to see and one of the best attractions that made the park. You’re awesome and I can’t wait to see more rock on Yesterworld!😄😄🙂🙂❤️💕
0:30 Dude. I grew up with that game. I actually downloaded it like a year and a half ago just for nostalgia. The aliens that go INTRUDER ALERT still scare the shit out of me to this day.
Wow. This looks like a piece of my childhood I was never able to live since I never visited Orlando. I've always liked the nicktoons better than the cartoon cartoons and the disney originals. They played a very important part in my childhood. Now it's really sad to know that everything's gone while I never had a chance to experience it.
How about doing Tales of the Okefenokee? A ride that used to be at Six Flags over Georgia. It ran from 1967 to 1980. Im a pretty big fan of it, even though im to young to have ever went on it. Its pretty cool.
I rode on this attraction back in 2006! 😀 Though today I’m sometimes into SpongeBob (as it ran for over 2 decades), and aside from that I’m into The Loud House.
I rode this back in 2003 in my only trip to universal studios. I loved it! Helped that my family watched a lot of Nickelodeon and I have been a big fan of Jimmy Neurton since it came out and watched the entire show.
I actually got to ride Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast in August 2010, 1 year before it closed for good. I really enjoyed the experience, as well as the Nickelodeon Store after the ride.
God i miss this ride so much, it was one favorite shows with a bunch of my other favorite shows altogether in one ride i loved it! My favorite part was when the chicken dance song started playing and the vehicle danced with the music, lool 😂 I also loved the gift shop too, seeing usually spongebob character and the interacting games. Ima miss it all! 😭
Nicktoon Blast was my favorite ride back in the day. I even got a Jimmy and Goddard figure thing that I loved to death. I have no idea where they are now though... probably thrown away. I dunno. Anywho, I would love to see a revival of the series, whatever that may look like.
Same, but I am nervous it could be extra weird. Would the animation change? Would the voice actors change? Story beats? What about his parents (love his parents)
This ride and Nickelodeon Studios were some of my favorite things when i went with my family to Universal Studios in Spring 2004, and of corse both of them have since closed and been replaced by other things that are not nearly as memorable.
Gotta change the generic title of Troubled History of “attraction name” being that it didn’t seem like it came in swiftly and people loved it and left nearly the right time. But awesome video and thanks for the references.
My best memory of Jimmy Neutron is the awesome build-a-rocket toys from Burger King. I still have mine. The 2D animation clearly is not as impressive as the Hannah Barbera ride, they used the same bizzare photoshop bevel as Mortal Kombat: The Journey Begins.
Always had a soft spot for simulator rides, and Nicktoon Blast was no exception. It's massive, unrelenting energy always managed to put a smile on my face whenever I rode it
Really despise Despicable Me Minion Mayhem when it replaced Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast and when Nickelodeon retire The Adventures Of Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius
I'd love to see a Jimmy Neutron revival, but since Nick's just sitting on the completed Rocko and Invader Zim telefilms, I'm not optimistic about it ever happening.
Can we convince the creator of Jimmy Neutron to move the show off Nick, or put on a streaming platform? Also, can Jimmy be a bit older and have more room for his inventions and make a bigger spaceship?
Unless the creator owns the creation, they usually have no say in the matter. Even in the case of Doug, Disney somehow still owns the rights since the Brand Spankin' New series from the 90's. I don't know to what extent Jumbo pictures owns him, and Nick still owns the original series, but can't make merchandising off of it. The Doug Funko Pops were released under Disney. Nick still owns Jimmy, and unless they want to make another telefilm with the character, I don't see them really doing much. Not even for merchandise.
I remember this ride! I used to go to universal all the time as a kid, and jimmy neutron was the one I always went on! I was disappointed when I found out they replaced it. This was a neat video, always neat trivia on the show. Could you imagine Goddard in live action? I need to check out that Johnny quasar pilot, it’s weird hearing him voices by an actual boy, it’s neat how simmilar it sounds to the woman who played jimmy. It would’ve been neat to see what a Danny phantom or fairly odd parents version would look like. And come on, allowing kids to have a picture taken with sponge bob and get an autograph? You got a money maker. Great video.
When I see that first few seconds that the "iconic" cartoon character that sticks out than the rest was Jimmy Neutron, I had this in my head: *YOU SOILED THE GOOD KRUSTY KRAB NAME! SOILED IT! SOILED IT! SOILED IT! SOILED IT!* #SpongeBobFTW
the fact they didn’t update the ride every few years saddens me so much, like this was my favorite ride and we really could still have this attraction if they continued to update it.
I wouldn't mind another Nicktoons themed ride I heard rumors there may be a Nicktoons crossover movie but at this point I don't think its happening I'd love to see Jimmy Neutron in a movie like that if it did happen.
Invader Zim, My Life As a Teenage Robot, Jimmy Neutron, Chalkzone, Rugrats, Rocco’s Modern Life, The First Five seasons of Fairly Odd Parents, and Danny Phantom, all Of these iconic names it was truly the golden age of Nickelodeon
This makes me want a Nickelodeon Universe theme park at the Universal Orlando Resort! A possible full-blown outdoor Nickelodeon Universe theme park for the Universal Orlando Resort would include multiple themed lands including some themed lands to different Nickelodeon IPs, various rides and attractions themed to numerous Nickelodeon IPs, and other stuff along with an on-site Nickelodeon resort hotel!
This takes me way back. Also, the concept of changing it with the times sounds really interesting, but like you said, Jimmy Neutron eventually became irrelevant, you would eventually have to update him, right? The next best thing I could think of is that Spongebob and his friends are going to explore the surface world in search for Sandy, and in doing so, they crash all the other shows' sets. Spongebob amazingly still doesn't look like he's going anywhere anytime soon and I bet that if they had stuck with the plan to update the ride, that would still be going on to this day.
I loved the Jimmy Neutron ride and my mother loves the Jimmy Neutron character because of his big head. The Chicken Dance scene at the end of the ride is the funniest scene of the whole attraction.
im writing this comment before the video has even started, because I realise that this is the first time that one of my old favourite rides (and if it still existed, it would probably still be one of my favourites) is part of these types of videos.
I have been on a mission since I was 11 to find the music from this ride. I loved the music; the mashup of the different themes was always a joy to listen to, but I've never been able to find the track, or even the composer of the ride.
