Thank you for this video. I bought one last year , when there were only two videos of it up on RU-vid and I now know they are paid shills. My pulse welder was not use able and didn't do what it said it could .
Sure, i will do that for the next video. Do you think the snap-ring will also fix the misalignment of the inlet and the guide tube ? Or the tensioner that does not work?
THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU Last December as a Christmas present to myself I bought this model. Watched videos before hand so I would understand how it functioned. Wanted a MIG welder and made the purchase. Now I've owned a few MIG welders (and stupidly sold my Primeweld MIG 180 which I regret to this moment) and know how to install wire. I had a horrible time installing wire on this POS as it had marginal finger clearance and then followed the auto set feature to pull the wire through the gun. Probably took me 45 minutes to do a 4 minute job. Yup, tip and nozzle were removed. Whip was straight...not bent....digital set up was correct.....and nothing. Nothing. Zero feed. Checked the spool. Seemed okay. Went back to the feeder...checked the drive roller...using .030...seemed to be set correctly and tightened everything down. Nothing....no feed. Got a hold of Yeswelder and told them. Was the switch on Aluminum or MIG...or flux. Was on MIG. This went back and forth for 2 weeks. I sent videos. 4 actually. They were of no help. I went ballistic. Missed the 7 day warranty return. And never in my wildest dreams did I realize the drive roller was floating. 20 seconds into your video I knew what the issue was. I got my money back but it took 2 months and probably 20 emails. They said keep the welder....(for what). I gave it to someone for free. He was an electronics expert. My guess is he junked it. Moving forward I bought a cheap Hynade MIG welder as a stop gap. Took 4 minutes to install wire from mounting on the spool to having it feed. Great finger clearance. ....ah well. YesWelder is a con. They really are NoWelder
im not a welder by any means but i have experienced the yes welders and the now the htp welders. once you have had a quality machine like htp....you understand all the pitfalls and short comings of the lesser quality machines. it is very hard to improve your welding skills when you are using an "inconsistent" machine. so happy to have the htp propulse 220 mv and your instructions peter.
Thanks for making this unvarnished review. I bought their Cut55 plasma cutter after watching several very positive reviews. Terrible product and worse support. It came with a broken pressure regulator. Some day I will rip the regulator out and replace it with one that works.
The snap-ring is not in its grove. It needs to be pulled-out a little. That shows how much quality control (none) goes into these. I'm sure there are way more issues. ;) I wouldn't weld with this either 👍
sure, and how does that fix the issue of the wire tensioning thing being f'ed and the non standardized dinse plugs and the misaligned inlet and guide tube. ?
@@ZILAwelds I agree it's total crap, with zero quality control, which is why the circlip is missing. But what do you expect from cheap Chinese crap. I have found that the best welding machines come from the Scandinavian countries. But you will pay top dollar for them, but the dealers stock all spares so if there is a breakdown you can very often be up and running the same day, well that is the case here in the UK.
So i have one of these and mine had the same issue, you point out the issue at 2:10 that the clip ring is pushed past the grove. Use a screwdriver to push it back into its slot, and the spool will be inlne with the groove. Also in the manual the direction says you must remove the metal pin guide from the front ( this also has a clip that is a NIGHTMARE TO REMOVE) and then cut the graphene liner all the way so that it goes 3 inches in in and up to the groove (yours is probably 3 inches too short now since it doesnt appear you did so you will probably need to order a new 14 dollar graphene liner). I push 4043 alum wire and haven't bird nested once. I would love to see you make these's changes and give it another go as I appreciate your advice in other videos.
Ken, that is all fine and dandy, that still does not fix the drive roll tensioner that is junk or the fact that the ground cable from my other machines does not fit …. Maybe when i feel like messing with it one day in the future, i will …. I understand what you say. I feel that even when i fix this, the results in weld quality are not impressive… just from the little bit i have “welded” with it and from what i have seen on other youtube channels ….
@@ZILAwelds Why would you assume that your ground cable should just fit? They dont say in the manual its universal. And if you're not following the instructions on how to setup the welder as the factory designed it, how do you expect to get a good weld? A video with the words 'NO' and leaving your followers with the impression that you actually tested even remotely correctly seems misleading, no???? How can the tensioner tension when you didnt change the liner correctly??? Of course your weld wasn't what you expected, you didn't setup the machine according to the picture guide in the manual. I would humbly suggest you do so AND THEN trash it! That seems FAIR to your viewers no??? You said according to other RU-vidrs welds you saw, (which I assume you have vetted them as good welders otherwise) that it didnt do a good job but they dont seem to have an issue with it. Not to argue here ONLY your channel is respected because its based-on people believing the time spent watching your videos is worth OUR time and how can they seem reasonable when you aren't even making the minimum effort! Set it up right. Video how bad it sucks! and share! thats what i hoped to see when i was spent my precious life watching your video and that seems like a REAL "NO" is worth it.

And again, it's clear you can't even be bothered to read a manual with step by step pictures involved. So I will not be bothering anymore with you and I would recommend anyone watching your channel not to bother either. Ridiculous.
I am sorry, I am not an expert for yes welder .... there is nothing in the package or described in the manual ... other Chinese machines that I own have similar wire feeders and they dont need spacers, they just work. could there be spacer needed ? maybe. ... the tensioner is also majorly screwed up .... no matter what .... pulse mig needs CONSISTENT and precise wire feed ... I have my doubt this machine would deliver even with a spacer ....
@@85square over the last 15 years I have owned and welded with well over 50 maybe 100 different mig welders ... RED, GREEN, BLUE, SILVER, ORANGE, YELLOW, MAROON ..... etc etc etc ... and NONE of them ever had a spacer for the drive roll. ..... 🤷♂
Looks like the external ring got pushed out of the groove and down the shaft on the drive roll shaft. Could probably fix it with a pair of external ring pliers. You get what you pay for, bad design and no QA/QC.
I looked at that .. and it seems that the shaft then would slide too far into the gears ..... maybe it needs a 2nd snap ring ? and even then ... the inlet and outlet guide tube still wouldn't line up, the drive roll pressure adjustment would still be junk ... and the dense connectors are still not interchangeable .... and when I got it to weld .... well ..... maybe I need to "fix it" and then weld with it on camera ..... my brother always says : the guy who buys cheap is the guy who buys twice .... LOL .... if you want a real pulse might machine ... buy something else ...
took me a a couple months to get my $$ back from Yes welder, why they charged my card when they didn't even have the welder to send. anyway I eventualy did get my money and now after watching this I'm glad i didn't receive it. so many positive reviews on youtube as well.
This is my personal machine, i bought with my own money … and this is the condition i received my machine in …. This does not mean that all yes welders are like this 🤷♂️ There is a guy on YT with white hair and he is building an aluminum jet boat with a yeswelder, he claims it works great …. Looking at his welds - his machine works somewhat at least…. His definition of great and my definition of great are slightly different…. Look him up …. He has about 100k sub i think his name is bob🤷♂️ I mean he got something that resembles something sort if like a weld out of his machine …..

another snap ring in the second groove here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ZotUQjC_XOU.html and loctite the screw on top of the tensioner. It's the cheapest double pulse on the market you can't expect foronius quality.
And there are guys out there that think this welder is good, I wonder who is paying them? From what I have seen none of yes welder's welders are not good in many aspects.
I watched a guy build an aluminum boat with the same model on YT ... and the welds - well - seems like the guy had about as much success as I did ...... but he is showing off his "success " .... sorry, I cant do that .... I am not here to shit talk .. but I am no here to sweet talk either ... I have reviewed other Chinese welding machines before ... those at least WORKED ! if I personally like the menu or the way it welds ... well - I consider that operators preference ... but at least with the other machines I have reviewed .... I feel a guy (with some training) can have good results ..... this machine here ... NO way ....
That's a stinker. Yeswelder has plastered their crap products all over the place, saturating the deluge that is the Chinese Welder market. Yeswelder products tend to be of dubious quality. I have never had the misfortune of owning a welder they manufactured. I do buy Mig and Tig consumables from them, which can be really hit or miss. Sometimes tips are mangled or certain cups and nozzles screw onto torches off centre or crooked from janky threads. They are super cheap for a reason. I once bought a 250a water cooled tig torch from them once. Think it was $80 CAD. It pissed water all over and inside the fuel tank I was welding when I turned the cooler on. Instead of proper barbs on the inlet and outlet inside the torch handle, it was just threaded tubes. The factory had jammed the water lines onto them, where it leaked profusely. I ordered through Amazon so I just dropped it off at the post office the next day to get my refund, luckily.
I am a full time welder. I have this and a 205. also miller 211, 3 Lincolns and an everlast 275P. all of them have things like this. My millers tensioner arm broke after a month. blew my Lincoln 200 square wave twice. Lincoln 180 has been rewired 5 times. but the grand dame of them of all is a Everlast 275p. $2000 new 3 motherboards, 1 gas selenoid and it is dead in the corner with no drive roller working. what hasn't had any problems? you guessed it. yes welders and they are practically free compared to these others. you, sir, seem to not understand the basics of running a shop. do you really have all this time to dick around complaining about the cheapest welder in the world. wasting peoples time who are looking to expand their knowledge of their tools, so they can........get to work?
