hi. i mainly am posting this to illustrate the sort of rock you should never even take home, let alone hit, and then i realize halfway through hitting it that i'm making such slow progress reducing the chert (that thinks it's granite) that i'll probably end up with an ugly point in maybe three weeks of continuous effort, so i switch rocks and hit some more, and then at some point mercifully end the video and retreat to my recovery-from-knapping kiosk to contemplate wasted time and silica. maybe. thanks in advance for watching and taking copious notes. freeze cracked

@@freezecracked8382 I came here to say the same thing. Your videos are absolutely the most helpful videos I’ve found. The fact that you take a second and look at what just happened every time you hit or flake taught me more than anything about how this works. Please continue making videos 👍

Pulling flakes is something I have learned from your videos that I use often. Lately it’s been two steps forward and one back for me but I guess that’s still progress. Thanks for the video!

Thank you. Sir for the good videos, your wrong stuff is Much better than my right stuff? I appreciate your help in learning this skill. When I grow up I want to be just like you (some what). Thanks much it helps.

Honest feedback in case you want it. I entirely dismissed your channel at first just because of the low voice. Things felt too slow and quiet for my fried dopamine receptors, the background noise got in the way, visually it looked much like any other knapping content. Now it has become one of my favorites. Gold nuggets of knowledge with the right amount of humor. Wouldn't have known without sitting through a few minutes of video. My point is online success has only a bit to do with content quality, and a whole lot with attention grabbing.

my goal was to help others and i figured i'd do it my way or not do it at all because it was a lot of work and distraction for me. guess i kinda figure if folks want to know what i know, they have to put up with me long enough to find out. thanks for your interesting comments.

@@freezecracked8382 Reasonable. I hope to see more of it. It's quite good, though I do think it could benefit from a better mic or fewer lawn mowing neighbors

I'm buying rocks from a place called World Outdoor Emporium. They never seem to have what I'm looking for. The clerk told me "plenty of rocks out there, I can help you load them up. You want root beer, go to A and W.

well, i do actually have quite a bit of good information distributed through all the vids, but you just have to wade through the stuff to find the bits that are useful to you. the more you watch video the more you'll come to understand, and it does help a lot with reducing the complexity of trying to understand what isn't intuitive. thanks for watching. fc

it's important for fingers to realize that their personal reputations are at stake too during videography. i've trained them, and i expect them to just do their jobs now. thanks for watching.

If it's any consolation, I saw your name on a fb knappers' forum post earlier today. Some greenhorn showing off his rapid improvement of skill listed you among some of yt's finest lithics influencers. I think he mentioned you before even that Newman guy. You may want to consider getting a refund from that marketing survey team...
