Yield Not to Temptation 

We sang this in the church I grew up in. I heard it this evening for the first time in more than 50 years, very surprised to still know the words after so many years. Wonderful Words that really spoke to me today. Thank you so much for posting.

"Each vict'ry will help you, some other to win", is so true and what brought me here tonight. Not only do past vict'ries remind us that, in God's strength, we CAN succeed. It's often after we've resolved to TRY, that the Holy Spirit REMINDS us, of a victorious precedent. Which boosts our confidence in Him, and in ourself. True of overcoming other challenges, not just temptations towards deliberate sin.
