Also keep in mind, this 16 year old made it to the finals of the Chopin Competition with “YES” from every single jury member... he deserves it wholly

I suspect cos it's a Yamaha. The sound would be too dull otherwise.

嫌いな演奏ではないが、迫力に欠けるかな？とおもいますねぇ。。。もったいない。どう転んでも英雄ですからねぇ。。。メリハリ大切。ナイーブなのは伝わりますが堂々と突っ込む場面が少ない気が。。。

In this competition, each competitor gives a 40-50 minute recital. They only bow at the beginning and end.

Yikes, you can tell he’s talented but the tone is just awful... he’s using too much brute force, coupled with Yamaha piano, poor guy...
