I bought my first car based on this song. It was a 1996 Honda Civic 1.4, "a car you can trust". I can witness that the statement is completely true. Even though the car was 21 years old when I bought it (149 000km), I made another 100 000 km in the next 2 years in all kinds of weather conditions and it never failed nor betrayed me. Thanks, Ylvis, for the good recommendation.

One does not simply rhyme technology with today.

The ridiculous thing is that, even though the lyrics are obviously silly, they use all the great musical/vocal techniques that have been used throughout the past 50 years. If you'd just consider the song itself its totally brilliant and catchy.

Still one of my favorite parts about this is song is that when it came out, people thought he was sponsored by Honda for the Civic part. But now, he was genuinely trying to sell his car and figured putting it in the song was the best way to do it. Which to be fair, is a remarkably smart idea if you're famous.

2023 now - I can testify that this song is as awesome as ever. Does'nt get old - much like the Stonehenge..

Ylvis, I have an answer for you! With pollution and over-visits, the current henge will completely disappear w/in 1000 years. All that will be left is the foundations of the current visitor center. People 1000 years from now will wonder why such a center was built that drew 5M people a year, especially at the solstice. What was the cultic purpose of that structure? They will build another visitor center so that people can visit our civilization's mysterious "center". The secret then of Stone Henge is then that IT was the visitor center for a still earlier center, now long gone. And that earlier center was in fact a visitor center for a yet earlier center and so on. It's visitor centers all the way back dude.
