As a black guy, I am happy to see my race being represented by both Sameer and Genration Hope by appealing to the “husband gets cucked by black guy” stereotype
I hate the way they convey his disability in this it's so genuinely disturbing to me and they don't take it seriously one bit. One moment it's "holy shit imagine how terrifying it would be to be that vulnerable" and the next minute it's "oh okay he has a boxing glove attachment"
@@cucumberhorse are actually trolling right now? Because the entire channel is literally a dry humour parody of dhar mann. I mean the video has a fucking mortal kombat finisher in it.
I think so, still seems like an effort was made to make it appeal to people who watch those videos with a good amount of slapstick bs for everyone else
Why do people seem to think Sameer is not being intentionaly funny? I mean it has actual jokes (P.E. part for example, the want me to beat you up punk, the awkward pauses while he types)
I’m currently at 9:35 and I think I’ve lost all remaining hope I had in humanity… EDIT: Wow, all I had to do was watch a few more seconds and it went even lower. Either that, or this is a parody. I really hope it turns out to be by the time I finish watching. EDIT 2: Okay, I’m pretty sure this was intentional even if they’re not disclosing it. Nobody can be THIS incompetent. I just refuse to believe it.
I probably don't need to say this but just because you can't feel your limbs doesn't mean you can't still break them and it doesn't mean breaking them isn't still bad for you lol
So, like, did she decide to cheat on her disabled husband while he was still in the house? Seems like it would have been easy to move him to the front lawn for an hour.
I think the video would have been better if they pushed the absurdity/comedy a bit more. I don't know if that's the attention they were trying to go for but yeah.
I'm not sure, and I don't want to spread rumors. But I am pretty sure that the man in the wheelchair is not paralyzed at all. He's just playing the paraplegic...
Damn, coulda sworn when she went in for the hug his chair was gna taze her like R2D2... Edit: When George said, "Stay white here!" He shoulda garbled, "Just ... so long as ... you stay black there."
Excuse me while I write an essay. This essay is fairly applicable to any gen hope/sameer/other dhar mann clone, but I'm writing it here because this premise is so hilariously trashy. Perhaps you've heard of Jerry Springer, perhaps not. If you are in the overlap between YMS and RLM, then their "Our Least Viewed Episode Ever" video will give you some insight to what Jerry Springer's show was like. I've noticed that these Dhar Mann clones often end up in similar topical territory to Jerry Springer, Maury, Steve Wilkos, and other such shows. Before them, there was The Gong Show and its various imitations. Sure there's differences among these examples, but generally they all scratch the same itch in our cultural consciousness. But there's even more at play here. Quick and dirty version: Greek theatre was cultured and respectful, Roman theatre became trashy and low-brow, Holy Roman Empire outlawed theatre because it was So Sinful. Theatre re-emerged in the form of passion plays and morality plays held within churches, sometimes during mass. Over time, these too became trashy and low-brow and increasingly distanced from the church. This cycle repeats and repeats. Shakespeare was rather low-brow for his time, as you may have heard. This very broad trajectory in which every era develops its own brand of trashy entertainment occurs regularly throughout the history of Western/European entertainment. Now, I realize I'm only covering Western/European traditions, and it's because those are the traditions I've studied. I don't want to speak on topics I'm uninformed about. I should also clarify that I'm NOT saying "all entertainment trends toward trashiness over time." That's not true and I'm not saying that it is. Rather, I'm bemusedly observing that it's a niche that gets filled over and over again despite efforts to eradicate it. We're here, watching these videos of Adum, because we derive entertainment from his criticism of how trashy the videos are. It's safe to say that if we're watching this reaction video, then we similarly look down upon the genre of videos being reacted to. We're allowed to, there's nothing wrong with it. I just think it's fascinating and important to keep in mind that this niche has always and will always exist. To summarize my thesis: if the history of human entertainment is carcinisation, then stuff like "man in wheelchair gets pushed down stairs" is the crab.
