I totally agree trust me I have learnt alot, so much that I have decided to make their products my main products. I'm a self taught nail tech about 3 montha into the game and I live in Jamaica not the US, to purchase their products plus import them will cost alot but trust me I think @YoungNailsInc has earned my loyalty.
I just got the Gel trial kit yesterday and was at work playing with the product and getting familiar with it. This helped me understand a bit more on hard gels.
Thank you so much for guiding me to this educational video! You were right, it is so helpful! I now know exactly what I need to order; thank you!!! You and your team really are amazing for all that you provide to the public!!!
I can’t wait for part B I have these products but I don’t have any clients yet since I’m a new nail tech. I’m definitely going to play with them now once I see part B
I ordered the trial kit and I'm so excited! P.s. I just want to say YN customer service is top notch! I've never been so impressed with response time and care. Bravo 👏👏👏
Im a fan of your products. Im so exited that you guys have finally posted this video. Extremely simplified and my students loved it. Cant wait for part 2!
First off all, if the English is not correct, blame Google translate...I'm from the Netherlands ;-)Hi Habib, this video is coming at the right time! At the end of next month (at my 54th year) I will start my education for all-round nail technician from Yong Nails at Salon Cosmetics in Rotterdam. I am familiar with acrylic, from Astonishing, but hard gel is totally new to me. Because I want to work with 1 product and have not yet finished my final diploma for acrylics from Astonishing, I start with a clean slate, from the bottom up, with your products. Your clear explanation that I saw last week, that Greg was going to make his first nails, acrylic with tips and forms to sculpt, are super good and clearly explained! I hope that such videos from these gels follow, then I have all the info I need to start with Young Nails next month.I cant wait!!!! Thank you!!
Thank you so much for this series!! I have these products but not sure where to begin!! It’s like you can read my mind!! So excited for the next part!! ❤️👌🏻😘
Wow Greg well that was simple. You made it sound so easy thank you so much for that.i only work w acrylic cuz i found gel to be a lil complicated but its not. The way you tech is awesome you make it fun and easy. Love you guys ur the best.
I just purchased this kit and am glad I saw this video. So simple to understand the different uses for your gel. I currently use another big name nail brand and its confusing as to use which gel for a particular application. Your system is awesome. You explain it so well. Cant wait to create with Synergy!
I only worked with hard gel in school and never touched it after because I was intimidated. I want to try it again to add more services to my list. Can't wait for the next video! Thanks in advance!
Thank you for this video. It was Super Helpful. I swear by your base and adore the concealer pink. Will have to purchase concealer peach and your topcoats.
Thank you so much for this video! I already use synergy system & it's my go to but thank you for going into detail. The gloss in the pot won't crack gel polish over natural nails?
Can the non moving builder gels be mixed with the moving gels? Say I dont want a super self leveling can I mix a dot of the non moving gel in the moving one?
I love the protein, base, and builder. I havent had much luck with the gloss or the top coat. The finishing gel separates after being cured and the gloss is cloudy... help! I do cure each for a min. I did notice maybe i need to sure the finishing for 2.. but wouldn't it still separate?
The finish can do that for a few reasons, not enough top coat applied or the surface of the nail is to smooth. Email katie@youngnails.com and she can help you troubleshoot the issue
Hi there. I would like to start by saying how much I appreciate the videos that your company posts. Greg and Tracey have so much talent and it's a joy to be able to watch them work. Also Habib's talent as spokesman is an absolute must. I am a newly qualified nail tech and I would like to practice alot more before I take clients on. But of course good quality products are very expensive. I'm sure that oncw I have some clients I can slowly build up a good product arsenal. My question is..... If I can only buy one gel and one acrylic to start, which would you recommend. Also are there basic gel colors I should start with? Thanks in advance. Tina
We actually have a biztalk on this very subject "what you need as a beginner" I think between acrylic or gel it should be what you feel you are going to be able to work with. For example at home techs or small studios don't always love the smell of acrylic so gel may be a better option for you
Since I started using your system my clients have not had any issues with lifting, which is awesome. I just don't get a good smooth service with the finishing gel. But I love the primer, base and the builder gels. Really good stuff. I am looking forward to part 2.
Unfortunately, we don't test our products with other brands so we can't speak on how they work together. Our products work best when used together in the same line. You can ask in our facebook group and see of other people have some advice on using it with other brands.
I have successfully added glitter to build but what about pigment powder? Can I leave the dispersion layer and apply gloss or the brush on finish? Unfortunately, when I do, the pigment comes off with it.😬 TIA.
Can I use flex or build as a stain top coat? I have the kit and I thought the gloss gel came with it but it didn't. And ultimate finish isn't the right top coat to use over the white gel sculpter, can I use flex or something thin to use as a stain resistant/non-porous is hard top coat?
flex and build are not top coats so they can't be used as such. Ultimate finish works on white sculpture it's just not stain resistant. You would need the stain resistant top coat or gloss
Can the Finish Gel topcoat and the Gloss be used on top of ANY enhancement, including acrylic? Or will this gel peel right off of dip powder nails, just like all other gel top coats do?
Any kind of gel top coat will work you just have to remember gel likes to stick to 2 kinds of surfaces, sticky or rough. Gel does not like smooth, so if you finish your dipped nail make sure its finished with about a 150 grit file, apply protein bond, then go into your top coat and you will have no chipping issues.
Hi just bought your synergy gel trial set. Do you need specific forms to actually build out the gel base? I tried to use some plastic forms I already had, and the gel hardened but completely stuck to the form when I pulled it off after curing. I didn’t buy the whole kit because I wanted to try it out first. The product is amazing, but the instructions weren’t very detailed, so I came here. I’m going to buy some nail form guides, but thought I should ask for clarification.
Is the gloss gel like a top coat? Can it be used as that purpose for gel nails/gel polish manicures? Or just as an extra durable layer before the top coat?
We don’t recommend buffing the nails as it makes it too smooth and gel doesn’t like a smooth surface. We finish file with a 150 grit hand file, cleanse with swipe, apply a coat of protein bond and then you can top coat.
Yes you can use a gel top coat on and acrylic and no you don’t need the base before on acrylic. If you are doing a hard gel extension or overlay then yes you need to use the base gel.
After building the strength and structure of the nail with one of these (build, build pink, flex, clear sculptor, concealer pink or peach), you would cure it, remove tacky layer with swipe, file into shape and remove bulk, finish file, cleanse with swipe, protein bond and then gel polish color or top coat if you don't want a color.
Ummm I have brought you guys synergy gel trial kit i was wondering can I use dual forms with it ? Im.only asking because I don't have any tips to add on to my nail
You can definitely use forms with our synergy gel here's a great video that shows a little of the do's and don'ts with hard gel, think it could really really help: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Vux8vP0N4Ic.html
That is really a pretty standard time to go between fills on extensions. Sometimes people can go longer but it isn't really recommended, after 2/3 weeks the product is more prone to lifting or catching and the weight balance is less evenly distributed
You can use either. Which one you use just depends on the consistency of gel you like working with or if you want the nail to be colored or clear. Just make sure when using gel on top of tips that you prep the tip as well. Gel does not like a smooth surface. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LFykeb6GC2Q.html
i forgot which is my base and and which is my gloss while i was practicing application i got distracted how can i tell which is my base and which is my gloss
You can use the Synergy Gloss as a top coat over your acrylics or hard gels, but not over just a natural nail. Make sure you have filed the artificial nail with a 150 grit file, cleansed with Swipe and applied one coat of Protein Bond and then apply the Gloss, cure 1-2 minutes, and cleanse the tacky surface with Swipe.
That would be fairly redundant. Doing that would basically be like applying an acrylic nail over top of a gel nail. Making it a repetitive service and likely a pretty thick nail. You can certainly gel top coat or gel polish over a dip nail, like if you used clear dip then gel polish design, but a gel extension or overlay over a dip nail would just be kind of repetitive.
While the product is amazing, I am dissatisfied with the lack of a safety seal. When I ordered these gels from Amazon, the product arrived caked to the lid and leaked all over the outside of the container... SAFETY SEAL IS NEEDED!!!
