Oshi No Ko is fascinating, because it's something I 100% recommend, but you're never allowed to tell people why. It truly has to be experienced blindly. Held strong until the season of anime finished airing but then immediately started bingeing the manga
The "cheetos" on the scale are the japanese symbol for love, pronounced as "I or eye", written as "Ai" 愛 . The idol's name of the MV and the anime is "Ai", but it's a different version, only written in Katakana, basically a simpler version of the Japanese writing/symbol system, that means eye アイ. But in kanji, the more complex system that uses symbols like the "cheetos", there are two versions, one meaning indigo 藍 like her hair and eyes, and the symbol for love 愛. The other symbol is 嘘 , it was in darker shade unlike the passionate/love-correlated red, bright/in the public eye 愛, and it means "lie" which explains why it's in darker colors, being the dirty, kept out of view, secret of the entertainment industry.
The best way to experience Oshi no Ko really is knowing nothing bout the series. It’s a real fun series so I’d be excited for you to watch it. I do appreciate that this mv gives you a slight idea of what may be going on, but doesn’t say what is going on. It’s only till after watching the first episode you start to piece together what is this mystery. Idol itself, as a song does a frat join commenting on idol culture. It’s very bright, catchy and fun, much like idols tend to appear on stage, but once you look into the lyrics it’s clear it ain’t a happy song. And that’s a very clear thing in the idol industry. It’s competitive. It can be cruel. And at times it’s even dangerous. Idols present an image, a fantasy for the audience to eat up. And often they have to lie to their fans. Especially when it comes to love. With the parasocial relationships the fans and idols carry, it’s nearly impossible for an idol to go seek out genuine love. It’s even frowned upon sometimes. Really really hoping you give Oshi no Ko a try. Your analysis on the song and mv were already fun to watch so seeing your thoughts on the series would be exciting.
So, just after watching the first episode you will be able to watch the lyrics of the MV. I really recommend doing that (you will understand after the first ep).
So you actually hit the nail on the head for the entire song. As for your question about the twins you’ll have to see it for yourself since it involves a major plot twist.
Oshi No Ko, best way to explain it without giving away any of the big moments of episode 1 or any other episode, is about the ins and outs of being an idol or famous. It isn't a super glamorous job and Oshi No Ko isn't scared to talk about it. Defineitly watch the show. Episode 1 by itself explains this entire opening.
You should watch it, but like others have said, you will need tissues for the first episode. Can't really give a synopsis without spoiling anything, but it is a great show.
"This sounds so vocaloid" THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT. When I thought on why I got so obsessed with this song I came to that same conclusion 😂 then I researched and turns out one of Yoasobi members used to produce Vocaloid songs, so it made absolutely sense
Oshi No Ko is so good. I don't care for idol anime. But I got spoiled and it got me to watch. It's one of my favorite animes now. I don't recommend getting spoiled and to go in blind 😅
Great show, highly recommend it! I like how in order to get around the problem some shows have had "Oshi no ko", and a few other anime, have extended 1st episodes this season so that viewers stick around for the hook!
Yes, this anime is the best of this season and easily made its way into my top 5 anime really quickly because of its amazing and intriguing story, amazing characters, god tier opening, and it always made me come back for the next episode eager for what to happen next, so I heavily recommend you watch it, all I'm gonna say is that it is darker than you think
This show is AMAZING your gonna love it if you start watching the show the first episode is a banger but overall the characters their plot it's so relatable
Oshi no ko is the only show to have everything I love in one thing, it has amazing story, all the characters are amazing and interesting, the opening is top tier, and you will never be bored watching the anime
The Attack on Titan music is based on the Dies Irae, from Latin, Day of Wrath. You've probably heard it many other places, it's been a popular dramatic motif for a very long time.
If you're gonna watch the anime, go into it completely blind. The first episode is basically a movie, not just because it's long but it feels like movie.
Oh she is going to be balling her eyes out at the ending of the first episode but if she really wants to watch the episode I am completely fine with that
14:54 I'm not Japanese, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard that the term "aishiteru", which is one of the ways to say "I love you" (and the one used in the song and the anime), is very emotionally charged and thus not really used in situations outside of, like, very close familial and romantic bonds, so saying that to your crowd would be quite different from the way famous people use "I love you" towards their fans outside of the idol industry. It implicitly carries a weight that's not really there when non-idol celebrities tell their fans they love them, which is generally meant in a "I appreciate your support" way, and it makes the whole "I never really meant it when I said I loved someone" theme present in the lyrics and story even more impactful.
Bruh I thought I was the only one who heard part of the attack on Titan theme song. And your right about the rap version it’s the idols in her group which are their perspective. And you definitely guessed the of the show.
For your analysis of this have a sub, your pretty bright and picket up on a lot more that most reactors, and as for episode 1, you dear sweet summer child. . . :) I look forward to that upload
