Something to remember yoda suffers from a slow attack speed so his average ttk is suboptimal just like with maul combine his attack with his dash to decrease his ttk
I actually really like yoda. My survivability is much higher compared to other lightsaber heroes. I’m able to get in quick and get kills and dip outta there.
What's your playstyle with him? I've been trying to get good with him in COOP and everytime I play as him I'm almost instakilled as soon as I get into the fight, I think it might be my playstyle, but it could also be the ridiculous aimbot they gave the AI, so I don't know
@@bluehooman1521 in co-op I find that Yoda is very difficult to use because of that aimbot like you suggested. In co-op I rely a lot on the force push ability and always go into fights blocking in order to charge it up and kill them. Not to mention the AI’s love to group up and because of this, you can hold down a whole hallway on the final tier of Kamino just by using the force push. Anyway that’s my advice for Yoda in co-op
You forgot to mention the "opposing the dark side" card. I think its super useful for taking down dark side heroes, especially for a character who struggles in hero modes.
I know this video is old, but if people didn’t know, when blocking as yoda whenever you fight dooku, if he uses his lighting you can throw it back at him
@@TheGrayJedi Palpatine's lightning is absorbed permanently by Yoda's unleash. Blaster damage fades till you use the ability or absorb more damage but Palpatine's lightning will keep the ability permanently charged until you choose to use it.
I can help you there mate, in general Yoda is best in maps with alot of foliage Kashhyke, Endor, Yavin 4, Felucia, and exception would be The Star destroyer wreckage where his coat matches the sand.
in my opinion after playing 500++ hours of HVV only, still Yoda still needs a buff, he is pretty weak. no offense to console players, but in PC HVV match is more pacey than console, mostly the movement. what do you think gray jedi?
Honestly I don't think he needs a buff. I think if they just fix his minimal bugs he would be perfect. I say he is pretty dang good in where he is right now. Regarding the console vs PC I would say that's a weak argument because all consoles, PS, XBOX, and PC all have fast and slow paced matches sometimes. Plus, if any of them has a bigger chance of having those fast paced matches it would be PS because of the bigger player base so those chances would increase. But then again, you just said HVV, so it definitely depends on your team.
@@TheGrayJedi Have you ever played HVV on PC where lvl 100+ collide, i would argue that the pace isnt the same at all with console. I agree with you about HVV depends on your team, but Yoda is the least favored lightsaber user in Jedi vs Sith battle, the attack animation is a bit slow and weird which i know you understand which part im talking about haha, for me overall Yoda is weak and needs a buff or "tweak" at least starting on his attack speed.
They say... then first thing they do when I up against them with my yoda “RUN!” Hahaha bro trust me He’s really good. 400 lvl players together but somehow I catch them alone after couple of shots they running to their teamates, its funny seeing some dooku player‘s chased by yoda’s. Yes, he has slow attacks and some glitches which is the worst, block stop working sometimes if they fix it, I can manage the slow attacks but you’re right tho he didin’t deserve this saber attack speed
Chain swings with your unblockable dashes. Turn back towards your opponent as your dash attack wraps up and swing right after to really stack up damage. Literally everything Yoda does can be double parried so preassure and damage are really critical. Also pulling his presence as you jump swing will give you the health without freezing you in a half second animation.
I’ve also found out that if yoda blocks dooku’s lightning you can then use a force push and yoda will send the lightning along with the push doing more damage. Sadly doesn’t work with sidious only dooku
I've been playing for a wee bit, I decided in a 1v1 situation that I am going to use Yoda, and now, about 10 minutes of doing well with Yoda, I am here.
Not sure how wide spread this issue is but Yoda's presence ability is severely bugged. It only will buff your team (certainly) for the 1st use of the life. After that it seems as if it's random when it will or won't buff others. Anyone else notice this?
I think it affects only the area where it was first used in a life. sometimes I've gotten the buff when I'm on the other side of the map and I think it's because the area of affect is frozen there
I watched until you said the stamina bar was the white one below the health bar. That’s the level progress bar fam. The stamina bar is above the health bar and is like a blueish color (I’m color blind) and appears when swinging or blocking. Edit: I’m just poking fun. Thanks for the upload it was very informative. I appreciate you
@@TheGrayJedi hey man I honestly didn’t think you would see my comment because the video is old, I was just poking fun lol. I watched the video all the way through. Other than that very small mix up it was a good video and worth the watch. I just gave the video an thumbs up too because I feel bad. No hard feelings hahahaha
@@BhikkhuBear No hard feelings at all man. Don't feel bad. I didn't take it in a wrong way. I get you. lol. I do appreciate you pointing that out for me though, seriously. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and appreciate the like. Hope you have a great rest of your day!
Subscribed got my best kill streak with yoda n maxed his star cards out only a level 25 got a 54 kill streak only started playing recently so thanks mate
A dodge is you dodging which is like him actually dashing, but it's like the same thing as a blaster heroes roll. As for dashes they're like abilities. Like Rey's dash strike or Yoda's rush ability. They can be used using both terminology but for the sake of this tutorial video I didn't want to confuse people when I was talking about a specific thing whether that was me actually dodging or me actually dashing like with an ability. Does that clear up your question? It's just a good way of differentiating the two.
When the bonus health from your middle ability is done it heals the damage it prevented, but the cooldown of that ability goes way up. Hope this helps.
I'd say it depends on your playstyle on how you play him, but it's not a bad card. In most cases I'd stick with the first three I mention in the video for hero modes.
@@TheGrayJedi okay, tbh I don't really have much of a play style for him yet, as I usually use characters like Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Luke instead, but I am planning to start playing him more, so I will have a play style for him soon
You can't parry it because his goes through blocks, so your opponent will take damage either way. They can still hit you as you're dashing towards them if they time it right, but it won't be a parry. It's impossible to parry that attack now after those updates that allowed him to go through blocks.
@@TheGrayJedi maybe. But I don't like it. Spelling "grey" with an "a" is for doodoo heads. I'm going to go take a Greyhound bus to Grey Gardens while drinking Grey Goose, reading Grey's Anatomy, and watching Liam Neeson's epic film about fighting wolves with your bare hands called "The Grey". What have you got, 50 shades of Gray? You Americans think you invented English. In fact, you doodoo heads have butchered it. Doodoo.
@@redveinborneo4673 Well, it looks like I'm a doodoo head then. Plus, it's spelled Grey in America. Shows how much you know. lol. Anyways, if you're that interested in it you should check out more of my content because I explain my name and why I spell it the way I do.
