Oakland A's outfielder Yoenis Cespedes had several spectacular throws get runners out in about a two week span. He made his case for throws of the year, and these are those throws.
McDago100 He's heavily appreciated out in New York. He's done nothing but help the Mets organization in tremendous ways. I'm very happy to have him in a Mets uniform but I know A's fans are hurting without him. Good luck to you guys.
Phillip Phillips Are you watching the Playoffs? Coco Crisp hit a home run for Cleveland the other day. Josh Donaldson is doing well for the Blue Jays. Joe Blanton came through for the Dodgers. Zobrist did well for the Cubs. All these guys are ex-Athletics.The Mets are officially and in reality a Major League Baseball team. The Oakland Athletics are "Finishing School " future all stars. I forgot to mention Bartolo Colon. Well, I am glad Colon and Cespedes play for the Mets and not the Yankees. I really wish you guys would have beat the Giants.
I knew about him before the Mets traded for him, but I came here to watch the highlights after I heard we had traded for him. I have to say, he might have the best arm I've ever seen in the outfield. Rocket arm with pinpoint accuracy. Oh man am I happy we got him.
ok people - watch from 1:10 to understand the power this man possesses. When you see the other angles, you can under estimate the way in which the ball leaps out of his hand. When the camera perspective pans to the side and captures the action from field view...WHOA. Look out. That thing is an absolute rocket.
Because he was a left fielder. (He's on the Red Sox now). Plenty of guys like to run on left fielders because most of them have the worst arm of the outfielders. So he should be right fielder.
Sliding seems to have slid in quality. One that second one the foot was nowhere near the plate. But the foot is six feet ahead of the hand so why is the runner using his hand?
Yohenis Céspedez Millanés , de Israel Licea poblado entre Manzanillo y Campechuela,lo mejor de lo mejor al igula que su Madre la gran Estela Milanés en Sofboll.
AquaX107 believe me when I tell you that pitchers are scared of Cespedes and the opposing team usually always watch him take B.P. ..he is simply amasing and was always a favorite with the Oak. Fans.. The man aint no joke...comming from a Oak fan that has seen him play ALOT...You guys hot a winner in Yoenis....
Maybe the A's put him at left field because that a lot of guys run on left fielders because they mostly have the weakest arm of the outfield but he had the best arm lol (he's on the Red Sox now).
When Cespi was traded, I was shocked, then I had a minute to think about it. His bat had plain gone to sleep, and he wasn't producing in 2014. If his trade messed up the heads of so many other players, then that's not playing pro ball. Seems all the bats went to sleep after that, and possibly it was on purpose. No team does such a 180 overnight. Beane then cleaned house, as he should have.
I tried to make throws like that when I was playing intramural softball. I usually fucked up my release and threw it to the adjoining field's first baseman. I started throwing to my cutoff man instead. :-/
That's because if you've ever played baseball you would know almost everyone runs out there. You can't just turn 90 degrees and keep a full sprint. Same thing with people running into the outfield when they get an infield single, it's impossible to go from full sprint to a halt like that.
+Mitchel Yueill lol that would be an amazing team left fielder cespedes right field puig center ichiro lol dont go for a double or tripe or inside the park home run
