No, traditional yoga is not made for fighters. Modern mobility is what's best for fighters.

I’m a boxing coach and lifelong martial artist and I start everyday with 4 repetitions of a Sun Salutation yoga set. The range of motion I’ve gained is amazing.

Just tried this first yoga ive ever tried and the amount of times my body popped and cracked is mad . I feel so much looser. Might take up yoga hahah

I've been incorporating yoga into my exercise schedule for a long time and have never regretted it. It keeps my backpain away, it's a good way to warm up and increase mobility and control.

Great video, very useful! The proper way to stretch is too often overlooked because it isn't flashy, but it's as useful as the training itself. Keep it up!

Thanks Shane and Marie! Years ago I tore my hip (labrum tear) doing kicks practicing martial arts. I had surgery to smooth out the scarred tissue but have suffered in that area ever since. I'm finding improvement now that I've been focusing on stretching and yoga. I've found that yoga is a necessity for my traumatized hip. I've needed to relax, lengthen and strengthen my hip muscles, ligaments and tendons. I find much inspiration with this excellent instructional video (great details Marie!). I'll just add a word of caution I tore my hip doing high kicks!! Thanks Again! Love Your videos!

You guys are an amazing pair and work extremely well together. Fantastic video guys! I do some of these stretches on the off days when I'm not at class for recovery and it definitely helps with my karate training. Keep up the great work Shane and Marie 👍🏽💪🏽

Great video. When I do my workouts I always stretch afterwards and I found that I do some of the stretches in this video but I have been able to improve my technique massively. Thanks a lot

I already do these stretches except for the first one. Glad to see this. I did a stretch vid on my channel last month. Although I didn't really do the "active" part. And I do them after a run or other pre warmup.

I once cut out all my traditional stretching but was still using squatting movements in my practice so my hips stayed highly flexible.

Shane you should come to the uk and do seminars all over Scotland, especially in inverness, there is an MMA gym there and I want to bring more attention to Muay Thai and jiu jitsu in Scotland.

Great channel! Shane, I must say your channel is the first one I've found that focuses on fighting instead of trash-talking about any other martial arts. You look very affable.
