A Yogurt Crumb Cake alternates two layers of a delicious vanilla flavored cake with two layers of a crumb topping made with toasted pecans, brown and white sugars, and ground cinnamon. I love how the crumb topping turns slightly crunchy when baked, and its grainy texture contrasts so nicely with the soft and moist cake.

I baked your Apple streusel cake yesterday - the one with the butter cake layer followed by a layer of apples and then streusel... I used walnuts which I toasted. It was apple cake perfection. The cake layer was soft and buttery, the apples were soft and tart/sweet and the streusel with walnuts was perfection. I can't wait to try your other apple cake with the glaze followed by the yogurt crumb cake. Stephanie, you're the best!

Hello Stephanie,, I made it yesterday and it was super delicious.. I live by myself, so I 1/3 rd the recipe, baked it in 4 inch tin in my air fryer.Also, I used almond meal instead of plain flour due to my gluten issue and didn’t have any nuts at home except pumpkin seeds so used 0.75 oats and 0.25 pumpkin seeds as my crumb coat..Thank you once again for giving us these amazing recipes, they never fail, guaranteed success..

I baked this cake yesterday, with a standard 200 gram container of Greek yoghurt (that's how they sell it here in Austria), and also forgot that my springform pan was broken, before I started, so I used a Guglhupf pan (kinda like a bundt cake). It turned out sooo deliciously fluffy and the vein of sugary nutty goodness is amazing! ❤ Thanks as always for your work and inspiration, Stephanie!

That’s how my mother made her famous coffee cake - streusel in the middle and on top. As a child, I had no idea how unique and special mom’s original recipes were (despite the fact that they were included in many cookbooks). She would have been right up there with Ms. Stephanie!
