Grew up Langy in early 80s .Was no joke i can tell you . Everyone i went to Yoker Primary school wie died early or rotted in jail . My parents died so i ''escaped'' . Langy is named after Langholm street ,no sure it still exists tbh , but i can tell you it was FIERCE AF . Still have the gang song fae back then ingrained in my head . At risk of sounding like an old Vietnam vet lol but I seen some things man .....
I think you probably weren't looking at either a football or rugby pitch there, but the Glasgow Mid-Argyle Shinty Club. AFAIK it's the only place shinty is played in Glasgow, a refuge for Highlanders. You should have a look. It's a tough game.
