Very similar in terms of power/control, and maneuverability. Maybe slightly more power with the Pure Aero, and a slight bit more control from this EZONE 100. Spin is close between the two, but a bit easier with the Pure Aero. Comfort is pretty similar between the two. We found a slight more feel for the ball with this EZONE 100. Troy, TW

Hello. Tell me please, why do you prefer dr100? I am playing dr100 right now. And I wanted to switch to ezone 100 2018 or 2020. Thank you

@@boriz2813 I think I prefer the older DR100 over the Ezone that came out right after that. I have them both. DR seems mor plush and the Ezone 100 is stiffer in the upper part of the string bed as they mentioned in their review.

Yes, it is more on the power side of the spectrum. It is pretty close in power to the Pure Drive, but most people notice a bit more control, and added comfort in comparison. You could continue to use your string , TB Soft, but I might drop tension a pound or two. We typically string the EZONE 100 with a poly like Hyper-G or Volkl Cyclone around 53 pounds. Troy, TW

Pretty similar in power level, but maybe a bit more precise with this one, and a bit more spin from the Extreme MP. Troy, TW

Lynx Tour is a great option, and we would likely string it around 52 to 54 pounds. Our playtester Brittany uses this racquet, and likes it strung with Volkl Cyclone, or Solinco Hyper-G 1.25, around 53 pounds. Troy, TW

We aren't for certain if/when. We are hoping in the next few months if they do decide to come to market with it, with previous versions Yonex released the plus versions about 6 months or so, after the standard release. I believe there are some customization companies out there, that can extend a racquet for you, but not sure how much that would cost, and where they are located. Troy, TW

The written review should be available in the next couple of weeks, a lot of editing to get through. This one feels more firm, and crisp, whereas the Clash 100 offers more comfort, and dampening. Power, and spin is relatively close between the two. Troy, TW

The Ai and current EZONE 100 have a lot of similarities. The biggest differences would be the feel is slightly different. I still prefer the Ai feel as I found it a little softer, more responsive. The current EZONE 100 is a little more maneuverable and easy to swing. Both offer a nice blend of power and control with plenty of access to spin. Brittany, TW

Sure, and we would likely string around 52 to 53 pounds, but tension can vary on the player's preference. Within our playtest team, preferred tension varies from about 45 pounds up to about 57 pounds. Troy, TW

Not certain if we carry a VCORE racquet in a 290 gram version, but we have the VCORE 100 (280). This EZONE 100 offers easy power, is pretty stable, and has good comfort, and vibration dampening. The VCORE racquets (not VCORE Pro) also provides relatively easy power, but are specifically designed to help maximize spin, kind of like Babolat's Pure Aero. Troy, TW

@@tenniswarehouse thanks for your response. It's my mistake, I wanted to refer to Yonex VCORE Pro 97 (290g) compared to EZONE 100. I specified in the previous comment that I have only played tennis with wilson envy, a light racquet with a low swingweight. A month ago, I bought a new racquet, a babolat pure strike 305 gr., but this racquet is very heavy for me, I have pain in my wrist and also I have problems on swinging. Now I'm looking for a rocket similar to wilson envy but with more control, power and spin.My question is, it is recommended to try one of the tennis rackets VCORE PRO 97 (290g) or Yonex EZONE 100, what is the difference between them, or what other alternatives do you recommend?

This one will offer a bit more precision, and a bit more feel for the ball. The Pure Drive 2015 offers easier access to power, and a bit more of a stiff feel. When it comes to spin on serves, those two racquets should be pretty similar. Troy, TW

This EZONE 100 provides a bit easier power, and feels slightly more maneuverable, the Head 360+ Speed MP offers slightly more control, and has a bit more plow through (slightly higher swingweight on average). Troy, TW

It was the 1.25. Not a huge difference but 16 offers a bit more control, and durability, and the 17 a little more spin and feel. Troy, TW

We would like to think so, as they have done it with the previous two technologies, but we have not received any actual confirmation of the + racquets. Troy, TW

@Alex What the extended length racquet influence your game ? I need to compare to the reguler one

@@fadhilalfaruq1524 I tried the extended version of Ezone 2020 (27.5" I believe) then ended up going with the regular length ones. When I tried the longer one, I felt that it was helping with my serves(my flat serves went in a lot more often, and it felt faster as well), and groundstrokes(felt my shots became more powerful, but it looked flatter), felt that backhand return got better(I hit double handed backhand). I, however, felt that it was a tad more difficult to volley well for some reasons. Again, it definitely helped with my serves and returns for sure. The reason why I decided to go with the regular length ones was because I mostly play doubles and regular length racquets would suit my needs (required be agile at the net). I hope this would help you even a little bit, at least.

We found the average swingweight to be pretty similar between the two generations. That said, it would be hard to say unless you were able to check the spec of your frame, specifically the swingweight, because it may be that yours is higher. Troy, TW

I like to play aggresive from the baseline.

Maybe try putting a poly in the mains, and a softer string like NXT, or NRG2 in the crosses of your EZONE 100, and drop the tension a couple of pounds with the poly. Troy, TW

I hybrid this with gut mains and kirschbaum proline II. Nice string and was on sale.

It somewhat blends the feel of the last one, and the EZONE DR 100, but pretty easy to transition to as power/control are relatively similar. Written review should be available in the next couple of weeks. Troy, TW

I used to play with a Blade 104 and switched to the Ezone 100 and the square head definitely makes it feel like the sweet spot is as big as it was in my 104.

The updated version of the Duel G line, is the VCORE Pro line. The EZONE 100 offers slightly more control, comfort, and vibration dampening, whereas the Pure Drive is a bit more powerful, and slightly stiffer feeling. Overall there is a lot of similarities. The EZONE is a high end racquet, and the quality of Yonex racquets is very good, some say they have the best quality, and attention to detail. However, everybody has their own opinion for the feel of a racquet. Troy, TW

Both are good options, the Pure Aero being a bit more spin friendly, and the EZONE 100 offering a bit more vibration dampening, both have easy power. Babolat is on a 3-year cycle, so next Pure Aero should be around 2022. Troy, TW

There are a lot of good options for stringing this racquet. We tend to prefer something like Volkl Cyclone, Solinco Hyper-G, Luxilon ALU Power all in the 1.25mm, and strung around 53 pounds. That said, full poly isn't for everyone, so maybe a hybrid like Wilson Duo Power would be good for someone who doesn't break strings often but wants a good all-around string, or maybe a multifilament like Tecnifibre NRG2 for those seeking a lot of arm comfort. Thanx Troy. I had some arm Issues in the past with pure strike 100 (and i was not a huge fan of the previous speed mp), so I prefer not to feel that again.

If you want easier power, and easy access to spin, then the VCORE or EZONE 100 are good options. If you want more control, feel, and comfort, then the Gravity MP or Pro are good options. Troy, TW

This EZONE 100 offers a bit more power, a bit firmer feel, and offers more plow. Clash 100 offers a softer, more plush feel, with a slight bit more control. Spin potential is pretty similar between the two. Troy, TW

The power, and control are fairly close, maybe a bit easier power with this one. This one also has a firmer more responsive feel on contact, but still has pretty good comfort for how stiff it is. The Clash is slightly more comfortable overall, and maybe just a bit more control, but also has a more muted feel. Spin is similar between the two. Troy, TW

@Vasko Mladenov, We have a wide variety of levels on our playtest team -- some of which have played at the pro level, have coached and then many players who have played college. We put playtesters on racquets best suited for their level and playing style and set them up for success. Also, it is worth noting, our playtesters have roles within our company aside from JUST playtesting so they are not just doing this work. As you can imagine, pros don't spend a lot of time hitting with racquets that are not their own setup and often (nor do they have extra time to use racquets they won't be competing with), some of them are not super in tuned with different setups either. Our team is familiar with hitting a wide variety of racquets and strings and they have become pretty aware with what they like or don't from a frame, strings or even shoes. Hope that makes sense! @@vaskomusic Not necessarily. Just because someone is a pro level player doesn't mean they will be able to give the best analysis of consumer level racquets. I like having input from a variety of players and player levels.

@@richardbeasley9084 it’s always good to have more opinions. However, a pro rally driver will give you more accurate and detailed analysis after a test drive than a regular driver.

@@vaskomusic That is an assumption that may be true or may be false. It depends on the pro. Matt at The Smoking Tire gives very detailed reviews of cars yet is not a pro driver.

EZONE offers a bit more comfort, and feel. The VCORE offers easier access to spin, and feels slightly firmer. Power level are pretty close, but a bit more with the VCORE. Troy, TW

@@cheffren7011, Not sure with that is, maybe the spacing of the strings was getting the ball to dip more. You might want to try the EZONE 98 or VCORE 98 as well, easy power, but with more control and feel. Troy, TW

@@tenniswarehouse I bought the Vcore 100 and I really like it. It is a combination of my 2 previous rackets the pure drive and the pro staff. I liked the easy power from the pure drive and thr grip on the pro staff so it was perfect.
