So reassuring when you find a review that matches my impression of this racquet. It’s like finding the right Barber 😂

I absolutely love this frame. Switched from the speed mp to it. Plays very similar and is way more comfortable than the RA suggests. Favorite setup was hyper g soft. But I ended up Blade 100 and that was just magic 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️. I tried taking this up to 330SW like my Blade 100 but it gets too sluggish. It plays super well at 318-320ish SW

Man I also have the speed mp and I really want to test that percept 100, do you think it worths that change from the speed to the percept?

@@camilobarros1557give it definitely a try. This stick ist fanstastic. For me sweetspot between gravity and speed.

I started to use the Percept 100 about 2 weeks ago. I have used an Ezone 98 for the last 2 years so it was always going to take a lot for me to consider a switch to a new frame, but just felt I could do with a little more control as sometimes the power / my technique would send it long with the Ezone. Apart from that I have loved the Ezone 98 and had no complaints at all with it. After only about 10 hours of play I decided to use the Percept in my next match, having my Ezone in the bag in case I had made a terrible mistake! Just to note this is first ever 100 inch frame so was slightly worried that I was making a backwards step. The Percept was amazing though and not once was I tempted to take the Ezone out of the bag. I certainly felt I had more control; my serves were more accurate. I hit more aces than I have ever hit in a match, just through placement rather than power / speed. I felt I could hit the angles with confidence and although I still sent a couple long (as we all do) as long as I got the top spin right the majority of deep shots fell in the court and I would say my error rate was a good 50% better for deep shots. I still think the Ezone has more power overall, but the Percept 100 frame is not lacking in power, and I had it strung at 50lbs to give me any power I was missing from the 98 inch frame. Also it’s a 16 / 19 pattern so I didn’t feel as if I lost any spin as top spin is a big part of my game. Still early days, but at the moment I cant see me moving back to the Ezone, so feels like my first major change in racket since the Ezone was released two years ago!!!

I enjoyed taking the Percept 100 for a test drive. Would you say the racquet favours a full swinging style? It’s got a whippy feel being so headlight.

@@space1nvaders185I tend to have a full swing, but can occasionally hit late at times. The Percept 100 was more about improved control for me which it does do very well. Less power than the Ezone I would say but in a good way with the Percept!

You nailed it with your commends I just got the P100 and bumped it up to 337 Gr.

Great, bet it plays well with that weight. What frame did you switch from out of interest?

@@tenniseuphoria5012 coming from a Vcore 100 which had to much of power with bad maneuverability on my OHB. What grip size are you using since Yonex gripsize is a little bigger. Normally using 3 3/4

I agree with everything you say! Bought the 100 recently and am really happy with it so far. And yes, Poly Tour Rev 1.25 does work really well in this frame. However, Rev is quite an expensive string. Can you name some good alternatives to it, with similar spin/control/durability, but at a cheaper price point? I was thinking Confidential maybe? Any other?

Hi, yes sure, you could try MSV hex or Dunlop explosive bite - I think they would both perform similar and be at a better price point

i bought the 100d and i was surprised how much i didn't gel with the racquet after adding a leather grip. i've added leather grips to pro tour 2.0's, wilson ultra pros, wilson six-on team, etc. do you think there are some racquets where adding 8-12 g of weight to the handle just doesn't work?

Thank you. Any observations compared to Blade 100?

I have both. They are different sticks. 100D hits way heavier balls and feels more forgiving and comfortable. Blade 100 v9 is a very fast racket and works great for my OHBH. Balls hit with more spin with the Blade but not as penetrating (kicks up more than thru). 100 v9 I feel needs a bit of weight. I added 6g to handle and 1g to the tip and it's much better. 100D is great with returns and at net they are a wash (100d not as maneuverable but more stable). I feel for singles I'm ok with the 100D. I have more time to prepare the swings and can punish more with the heaviness. The 100 v9 is better for me in doubles because the racket is so whippy and I can hit better angles with it's extra spin. Also easier to wrist flick defense with it. Both strung with Toroline Toro Toro main and Snapper cross @ 50/48 lbs.

@@dimcorner Percept more comfortable than Blade 100? Didnt expect that, I am using the Blade v8 atm. Haven't tested Percept yet though.
