Understand your point, I guess they're all talking about the rackets they preferred best out of the lineups. The possible downsides of the rackets I think Pete alluded to are, They're not huge spin machines nor are they going to give you easy free power but they are certainly right up there as the best control and feel-orientated rackets on the market!

Enjoyable for sure, missing the part where you ask them the conparisons between why theyd like the 97h vs a 97d. Also would this 100d compete with a gravity pro or tour?

Crazy tease for review!🎉🎉🎉 Some points to be discussed though. I feel like while these (like VCP) lineups are all great control feel rackets, it's hard to keep up to hard hitters playing with PA98 for example. What do you guys think? I was a 4.0 player who now a bit busy with works, played with EZTour 2022 98, but wants a more versatile racket to play in doubles. I like VC95 and RF97, too, yet while those rackets play great when I'm controlling the points, I am often frustrated by hard hitters with similar level that force me to be defensive. Maybe it is not reflected in your playtesters who all very advanced players. Out of topic, how about Radical MP for easier "control" racket with a bit of power? I like Prince ATS 98, too.

I currently use the Ezone 98 2022 and I would suggest trying that one. Add a little bit of weight to 3 and 9 for stability and then add some on the cap to keep the same balance.

@outcometechnology
@outcometechnology Год назад
The molds are the same as before (beam thickness, dimensions) but the mass distribution has changed slightly, with more graphite in the hoops of all models, making them slightly more polarized, so they all have slightly higher perpetual motion potential -- ie. once you get the racquet moving, the racquet will feel slightly more like it's "swinging itself". Other than that though, swing dynamics will feel roughly identical as to before.
@TennisASMR

I'm still using the VCP HD, always looking to the ones that will replace them, not that they need to be replaced. Today it seems that would be the Gravity Pro. Before them it seemed it'd be the Speed Pro. Other than these and the Precept, I guess there's no other option I like.

I've loved using the 2021 Vcore Pro 100 (strung with Poly Tour Rev) as it felt like an extension of my arm. Looking at reviews from many sources, it seems like the common sentiment is that the new Percept rackets offer greater feedback, with a more 'old-school' hitting sensation like the 95D (which I'm also using). Which racket in the Percept line is most similar to the 95D?

Very much interested in the 97H. Is it easier to manoeuvre / use than the latest Vcore Pro 97H which I found a bit sluggish? The previous 2019 version which was the HG I found ok so is it similar to that manoeuvrability wise? Also struggled with the RF97 so again how does it compare with that in terms of usability? I currently use the Pro Staff 97 V14 which I like but want something with a bit more mass / stability to hit a heavier ball so thinking the 97H Percept would be a good choice? Or the 97D? But I tend to like more open string patterns so leaning towards the 97H but just worried about the weight being too much. As always for your help ATT team.

is there anything in the percept line that feels somewhere between the vcore95 and the vcore98? I'm finding the 95 just a little too underpowered, and the 98 too overpowered, but I like the way they feel : /
@fretstain
@fretstain Год назад
@@Batwam0 that's my next step. I moved to a high altitude area right as I got the 98 (I picked one up as the newer generation is a lot less stiff). I'm going to try the 98 at 56lbs up from 52lbs. I haven't been able to play back at sea level with the 98, but I suspect altitude is a factor as the balls really sail here
@fretstain
@fretstain Год назад
@@Batwam0 that's definitely the other side of the coin. I'm not having this issue whatsoever on my backhand, which generates more spin naturally. I'm starting to wonder if something like the ezone 98 would suit my game more as my forehand is feeling pretty flat lately

Great vid! I used the old Wawrinka VC 95D for years and recently switched to the EZone 98. I like the easy power of the EZone, but miss the stability, precision and sheer crush of the ball that the 95Ds have when swinging fast. My perfect racket would be the 95Ds, but with a slightly softer feel. Would the new Percept 97D fit the bill?
@allthingstennis
@allthingstennis Год назад
Yeah sounds like a good transition- Also look at the current VCORE 95 with some added weight?
@outcometechnology
@outcometechnology Год назад
@@allthingstennis I would actually say that instead of the VCore 95, I would look at the incoming VCore 98 Tour instead along side the P97H and P97D -- the VC 98 Tour is IMHO what the VC95 should have been -- more stable, more consistent string bed, with almost the same level of control and maneuverability -- all around a better stick.

When does the racquets drop in the us?
@gholland75
@gholland75 Год назад
Coming from the standard EZone 98, which racquet would be a good transition? I like the EZone 98 for serves and even ground strokes, but it flies on me every now and again (more than my previous racquet), which takes away from my stroke confidence. Also, it feels like the EZone power range is very sensitive, making it hard to adjust between soft and hard hitting opponents. I'm looking for more consistency into rallies, without sacrificing on serves.
@jabirout

Definetly the vcp 97 310, I often Cole and go between those 2 and I find more accuracy and better spin on the vcp 97, can swing freely. My balls are way more heavy with the vcp.

Really depends what your preference is. What i hear is a little bit stiffer and crisper and more power. Stability is a word that is used in 10 thousand different ways. In my opinion there is no issue with stability of the vcore pro. The stiffer feel and more power is something i do not prefer. I prefer soft low powered rackets. The vcore pro is a little bit too muted though, so a little bit more crispness would be welcome. So for me the percept is not a clear improvement. And that name... Horrible
@elchanclascocina
@elchanclascocina Год назад
I'm with you with the name. English is my 2nd language, I feel more comfortable than 95+ of non native speakers with it, but I still don't know how to pronounce percept nor I fully understood the meaning of the word. My perception 😉 is they put too much thought into it.
@LarzB
@LarzB Год назад
@@elchanclascocina The pronounciation isn't hard, but the word just doesn't have anything. Like they don't have a marketing department at Yonex. I understand they want to differentiate the racket from the vcore, so vcore pro is confusing. V core is vertical spin oriented.. Ezone is the easy one.. their control line has to compete with pro staff, prestige, gravity, pure strike. Then they have to do something better than "percept", even just CPro would be better. Like Control Pro.
