great review!btw,do you have any recommendations for the string setup?like the tension for this racket, what kind of strings might fit this kind of style
I have to say the servo filter aspect of this racquet doesn't work compared to the ezone. I normally don't use a dampener but absolutely need to with the Percept 100D. Not sure if that has to do with the string pattern or something else.
Luv it but . Can I please get a decent hybrid string brands type recommend to try for topspin/control (with decent durability)?? Percept 100d (18x19) 54 (15% gut pre-stretch) / 48 (5% hawk rough pre-stretch) thanks much appreciatiin 🙏
I have the Vcore 100 2023. I quite like it but feel it has too much power for me. Would you suggest the Percept 100 to tame that down and control the launch angle!
I have the vcore pro 100 from a few years ago. The Pro/Precept line are control oriented and don’t have a lot of power. Good racquets that can do everything well. You can add a bit of power with different strings and lower tensions but you have to experiment.
Did you manage to find a perfect set up for this racquet? I tested a demo racquet and loved it a lot up to a point where i bought my own racquet with similar specs. The demo racquet had Poly Tour Rev, was initially strung with 25kg but i dont think it was 25kg when i got the chance to test. It was very soft, very powerful and consistent, i assume 20-22kg maybe. So i used the similar Poly Tour Rev but Mint and 22kg tension. The thing is it does not play like the demo one at all. I really dont like it, it feels unstable and my shots are very “thin” - they lack depth and spin… i really cant figure out why because tech specs are almost the same compared to the demo racquet.
Hi, I have found that stringing low was helpful to liven up the string bed - 48 lbs was great, I added a leather grip too, apart from that it was pretty stable and good to go, mine was close to spec. Perhaps the one you bought was off spec?
Seems like u got a percept. I guess I don’t understand why u would want a low power, low spin 100 square inch. I love the paint job. But I think a new ex one or v core is in my future. I doubt it is out of spec. I think u just bought a type of racquet that isn’t fun. As a lifelong golfer, I empathize with buying uquipment u don’t end up loving. The nice thing is that racquet only set u back $300 or so. Life is too short, buy another racquet give that one away to the local high school team.
Hi, good shout as they would be very logical to compare. I much prefer this, I like the speed pro but personally am not a fan of the launch angle and less spin that the pattern produces - I prefer the speed mp. I would choose this over it - more spin potential, similar power and ability to drive the ball. Little higher launch angle too.
That wasn’t a David Lloyd club I believe. Looked a lot like Aldershot Tennis Club. Go there once a month for re-strings from Prostringers(Thierry and Peter) 👍
For me, any racket headsize larger than 90 is not a control oriented racket. Small head size racket launch angle, control, low power are totally different with 97, 100 racket.
@@ReidVV LOOOOL forreal control racquets can be small beam tighter string pattern and a 98 97 who tf is using 95. im 13 UTR and theres no chance i could hit with a 95 all day with how demanding it is. ill stick to my 98
