Personally, rather than seeing new races, I would much rather see them make changes to character customization. Either more options for features, more base faces, or changes to rigging, such as running animations and hroth posture.

Personally i would prefer more Clan's for the existing races , for exemple a half elezen clan for Hyur another scale colour for Au Ra , etc...

Yeah they need to add way more customisation on the current races. I am surprised how behind it is for the level of mmo ffxiv is. Especially as it’s a bit social aspect.

That is a level of transparency that even FFXIV players are not used to. I mean... revealing the precise schedule of development, review and implementation... That's pretty major. These are unusual circumstances, but still...

So, can they add an option to turn off the hrothguy slouching as they aren’t slouching in the trailer and the hrothgals don’t slouch either? Literally the only reason I don’t play hrothgar.

Some races have such unnatural idles. Makes them look weird in cutscenes and animation transitions. Hyur looks good all the time, they are probably the base for it all. But for the time I played male Miq, it looked so bad all curved and with their weird finger positions.

Just want to remind you that 1. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean everyone does. And 2. Homoginizing races to just be human but with cat ears and tail, makes them boring...

the character creator has been bad since the beginning so hopefully they take this chance to really update. Also praying for more options and to separate makeup and face paint

I would like some things for Hrothgar male need to stand up. Fem Hroth needs some face scars I don't recall any options for that. Also I want to give them pink noses so I can closer make my cat as an alt lol. But I know update isn't what that means.

Usually, the benchmark does not showcase incomplete work and everything that is included has been carefully handpicked and polished ahead of time. That can't be done with the graphic update, so I hope the comunity will keep in mind that whenever we get the updated benchmark, this will STILL be a beta version of what's to come when DT releases this summer. Don't expect a fully polished graphic upgrade, this will remain but a demonstration.

@@KazaarTV Keepers of the Moon Miqo'te have more pronounced and sharper canine teeth (fangs), but in the benchmark they appeared greatly diminished or almost gone. People have been worried they've taken away this aspect of Moon Miqo'te for Dawntrail, but it seems like it may just be part of the errors with things not rendering correctly in the benchmark's character creation environment. I'm confident it will get fixed, but until it's 100% confirmed and we see it for ourselves in the new benchmark it's still a bit concerning.
