what did you do to remove the factory throttle linkage that mounts over the value covers
@Yotamddotcom

I am using a JDM throttle body, NA throttle cable and a custom made throttle bracket. I didn't end up with that on purpose. It was just a temporary solution years ago that worked out better than expected.

Can all of the 'rigid' hoses (such as the one you indicated at 0:45 ) in the vacuum system of a 7MGTE be replaced by just generic silicone hose? I just replaced my stock intake pipe ("accordion") with a silicone aftermarket one, but trying to force the stock hoses into place was a massive PITA. If I can just replace them with snipped bits of silicone and appropriate couplers, that would be much better for my comfort, as I feel like the stock hoses are kinda stressed right now.

As long as they're sized correctly and don't kink, sure.

@@Yotamddotcom Prompt response! Appreciate it. I'll get some hose and size it out. While I have your attention, just wanted to also pass my thanks for your YotaMD site. I've had it bookmarked for a while, and reference it when applicable while I try to make my Mk3 shine.

@@angrytigermpc Very cool. Glad it's been helpful. I planned on it being much more intensive, but never could get back to it. Enjoy it and get that mk3 in tip top shape!

+YotaMD I was checking out your website and I came across a tab talking about FOG LIGHTS. I was wondering if you're ever going to post a video or instructional guide on that. I've seen a few when googling how to do it, but it's either the instructions aren't specific enough or the pics are clear enough. I love your explanations and tutorials and I really want to see you teach us how to do the Fog Lights mod!!
@Yotamddotcom
@Yotamddotcom 8 лет назад
+Delta Productions I can do that pretty easily. It's super simple as I recall. I'll review that process and see if I can get it posted up. Thanks for the message and please spread the word on my site and RU-vid channel!

where exactly do you get your vacuum from for the fuel pressure regulator and are You using the vsv for it? when I bought my car all the vacuum lines where messed up.
@Yotamddotcom
@Yotamddotcom 8 лет назад
+Jay Murray Try studying this picture: www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/EPC/291420/catalog.aspx?F=1708&P=3 If you have the hood sticker for vacuum lines that will help, too. That hardpipe system under the manifold is hard to figure out so you may need a flashlight, a mirror and some patience to get it sorted out. Without more detailed info I can't offer much more help, sorry!
@jaymurray5580
@jaymurray5580 8 лет назад
+YotaMD I figured it out. I didn't have the hardpipes under the manifold. so it was hard to tell what went where on the hardpipe pictures. but I got it. thanks though.

Hey YotaMD, mine got a coolant leak and it’s dripping out of the front passenger side and your guess carpet is also soak with coolant as well as the temp was getting to the red. So I have started it and let it idle for a while with a radiator cover off, and also into my surprise it was bubbling. The guy from a Toyota pro shop per said that might be the head gasket, and earlier they couldn’t determined exactly what it is till further testing, any clue or base on 7MGTE motor?
@gioalex2584
@gioalex2584 Год назад
Get a combustion leak tester,easy and straightforward to check for a blow head gasket. On a cold car,take a bit of coolant out of radiator and out the tester in make sure it doesn’t touch any coolant inside the radiator it has suction tube, let the car reach normal temperature then press it and if it turn yellow then bhg

If I'm deleting the EGR system can I just cap off the other port on top of the throttle body?
@Yotamddotcom
@Yotamddotcom 7 лет назад
+Supra Shop you should run a jdm ecu if you're deleting the egr system. Otherwise you'll run lean under partial load and potentially ruin a motor - not even doing anything fun either, haha. Assuming you're tuning to correct the missing egr system, yeah you can just cap off the throttle body. My 90 gte never had an egr system, but it was always running a jdm ecu.

ohhh ok thanks so much! So all the VSV stuff isn't needed correct. Im going to a standalone so that should solve that right?
@Yotamddotcom
@Yotamddotcom 7 лет назад
+Supra Shop if you're going standalone I'm not really sure you'll be able to use those vsvs. The idle up for power steering may still be useful, but I'm not sure.

Hey man, this might be a weird request but doesn’t hurt to ask. Do you think I’d be able to get on a call with you somehow? Or atleast a chat going on on supra mania? (MK3_Manny). Something is off with my idle and I can’t rev past 3k rpm. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

7Ms don't need the vacuum system they will run perfectly fine with out all the lines just cap them off! They r just a waste of space and it also doesn't need the the charcoal canister it's also a big waste of space
