I was about to delete my files after a lot of effort when I found your video and believe me. This video has helped me so much that I cannot express it in words. Thank you very much. Keep making such videos so that it can prove helpful for new children and those whose important files get corrupted like this. Thank you.

Still got the problem - message is now "do you want to copy this folder without encryption? A problem is preventing this folder from being encrypted" and then it takes me back to 'you need administrator permission". Any advice? Thanks.
If anyone still having trouble copying over the files, make sure to find the checkbox to allow "child directories" to apply to your permission rules for Everyone.
THANK YOU! I was having issues moving files between folders because of the lack of permission. after wasting my 10 hour finally i found my solution here, this video still helped.Thankyou! i am from india
You confused me;;;when you said Click on apply and then you clicked NO and Again you Clicked NO Again.........were you really saying YES to BOTH Boxes ?
After clicking apply, did you click 'NO' then 'Ok', because the 'apply' still appears and if I click 'Yes' it runs programs. What do you click exactly?
well except I don't want to change the permissions on a network drive on one of our production servers that is currently working just fine, nor do I want to give Everyone full control to those files
God Bless You My Child! Been moving, copying and purging lots of files over the last couple days and had finally had enough of that message. This FIXED IT!!! Thanks!!
I'm having trouble copying a specific file within a folder. Even though I've adjusted the file permissions, I still receive an error message about insufficient permissions.
I did this then got this error "Error 0x80070522 Required Privilege is Not Held". Solved that with a regedit from another video. Finally think it's fixed now.
Yo so I had a question. Would it be safe to give the normal user full control? I mean I have one account but it shows two options, administrator and user, the admin had all permission while the user could only read, I enabled it and the message stopped. but is it a safe alternative?
Didn't work for me either. I tried several times, kept getting the same message. My computer is 2 years and 4 months old. I never had the PC desktop, only PC, that's it. The apply button was never live, only the OK button which, after pressing it twice disappeared and I never got permission.
Yes indeed extremely annoying you would think Microsoft would understand something as simple as that ITS MY PC I DONT NEED PERMISSION, but no its the actual reality the actual truth. You have always been lied and not just about windows!
there is no security tab on my exrernal hdd. To clarify my problem, i copy my important files to my hdd but i did not set any passwords for them. After that i formatted my pc. Now, i cant access the files that i have copied. i read some .pfx certificade but i don't know whatever is that. Do you know any solution? Ty
While updating the permissions, said "error applying security failed to enumerate objects in the container access is denied", but then I saw your other tutorial (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VcaMNeQ1uSI.html) and then this resolved that error. Then I came back to this vid, and it worked, thanks!
