I used to have these issues with the stock Ender 5 pro hotend. 2 1/2 years ago I upgraded to the Mosquito hot end, Vanadium nozzles and your torque wrench. Never had a problem since, constantly swapping between 0.3, 0.4 & 0.6 mm nozzles depending on the item being printed and over 3000 successful prints with no leaks or clogs.

This is amazing, I always wondering why 3d print companies don't talked about the usage of torque wrenches and correct torque for different parts, instead of perception recommendations.

Agreed! Nozzles, bearing wheels, belt tensioners, lead screws, and more. I like that manufactures try and keep it simple for new users, but some of us want specs.

I generally do a fairly cold filament pull, heat my hot end to about 280 which is 20 degrees hotter than I typically print at most, let everything sit for a minute so any leftover filament oozes out, take out the old nozzle, screw the new one in, turn off the heater. Has worked very well so far, especially if you have an all metal hot end of any kind.

I was intrigued by your hot end kit. Then i saw this. I love specs and you guys are discussing them. Sold! And subscribed.

Great video! With the heat/cooling cycles of a heater block, I would be worried that the nozzle may lose its torque over time. I have noticed that my printers that I don't check / change nozzles frequently - such as those that have a "set and forget" hardened CHT or vanadium SE nozzle - have a tendency to leak after some period of time. Is there a "blue loctite" equivalent for nozzles?

The threads of an aluminum heater block soften considerably and can creep at common 3D printing temperatures, but unfortunately our only solution for this is to check nozzles often or to use Slice hot blocks. If you have experienced this with Slice hot block and nozzle, we would love for you to send in a support ticket so we can learn more!

5:55 yet you say it anyway, this is very basic stuff here.

It's always better to be safe than sorry! We prefer to err on the side of caution since including a 10-second disclaimer doesn't hurt anyone. This video might be basic to someone with 3D printing experience, but these are all questions we have received countless times over the years!
