What model Yamaha guitar is that you are playing? Is it custom from the stock models?

Trivial question, but what's the white line that runs between your pickups, on the bass side? Is it just decoration, or does it do something (eg, a hand rest?)? Great playing as ever!

I wonder to what extent these solos are planned/rehearsed or even scripted. It would either be pure muscle memory or some rehearsed patterns to continually play so fluidly (I don't mean specific to this short piece today but in general). I am reminded of a time listening to an incredible gypsy jazz guitarist on a recording being awed by the improvising UNTIL I saw him in a live performance years later and I could hum the solos almost note for note because he played them exactly as I heard them some ten years ago. This is not a criticism because you need to keep a repertoire of patterns to play night after night and not screw up. Since Matteo's technique is hybrid classical/electric it would make sense that his approach would be to rehearse his lines.
