The cops used their discretion to CHOOSE not to arrest. Ive seen people arrested for shoving when the cops want to send a message. People who think cops dont have a choice dont understand how bad this system is. It is ENTIRELY based on OUR intent and officer discretion.

Update: The gentleman received "Diversion" as a sentence for the assault. Prosecutor Patrick Murphy gave him Diversion, meaning he has to attend anger management classes, and stay out of trouble for one year. If he does those things ...the charges are dismissed. A.T.S.
Lone auditors are now vulnerable. Get a remote mic and conceal it very well on you. Have a friend vid you covertly from a distance showing all around you, the intimidation, assault, arrest... If the auditor is arrested.. The remote mic keeps working...even if the auditor's camera is "off" for some reason nice audio as confessions of injustice are heard... Judge will like that! (if it gets that far) Note that in this particular vid the actual assault would have been very obvious had it been vid taken at a distance. Hard for police to argue against instant arrest then?????
I think the big guy was a cop who was but hurt because the camera guy didn't let him get away with his crap. Assault is a fairly serious charge, I will be waiting for a conclusion for this one. If he is a cop he will lose his job and may serve time but the guy will have to push it into a conclusion or nothing will ever happen.
I was punched in the face.Had blood running down my lip and the cop from champion.Ohio told me he didn't think the crime had been committed.Neither did the prosecutor. Told me he didn't witness it happen. Would not let me file charges. No lawyer would go against them.So what do you do.

A citizen like the one that assaulted you, is a potential threat to other citizens, since I'd personally view that individual as a collaborator, and an enemy.

If there was ever a need for the use of pepper spray this is it. Some people assume that they can invade your personal space and make bodily contact with another person just to impose their opinion upon others. In 72 years of personal life and a career in law enforcement I have only once had to spray one citizen so I don't say this lightly.

I have SEEN auditors arrested based SOLELY on the word of another person. But when the auditor has VIDEO evidence...they can't do anything unless they SEE it.

Need help from the community. I was on city property out in the country riding dirtbikes when conservation officer pulls up and asks me for my ID. And my dumb self gave it to him. Well he said he smelt weed in my truck when i opened the door. Long story short i was not committing a crime but gave him my id anyway and he detained me and seached my vehicle and found a grinder.
And I’m not trying to bust your balls or anything I’m just hoping you didn’t let them search your vehicle and know that you don’t have to allow them to continue searching, and if they say they are bringing in a dog they have to finish the total stop in 15-20 minutes or it’s an excessive detainment and they violated your rights. I don’t know everything about the law completely and I forget the case law on withdrawal of consent but what I’m saying is educate yourself because they don’t know the laws they are enforcing and you can use it against them in your lawsuit when they violate your rights, and most importantly always record every second of any encounter with them. It’s gonna save our asses when we have to prove in court that they are lying.

Long story short my city (myself and other tax payers)had purchased this land to develop it into a canoe/kayak launch and mountain bike area. He did not bring a dog in but did search and seized my property. Marijuana pariphilnilia. I don't have a medical card. But states attorney dismissed charges and officer didn't even show up when got subpoena.

That could be a good reason they threw it out and the cop never showed up, he/she violated your rights and if they kept the prosecution going then they would have been up shits creek ! You could have gotten the district attorney for malicious prosecution if they went all the way and you were acquitted.usually they play a lot of games to extend the case until past the statute of limitations and then drop it, how many times did you have to go to court, just once?
