What would it be like to be born again?
To be able to put past mistakes behind us, and start anew?
While we can't turn back time, there is a way to start over.
A way to begin writing on a blank page
end the tears
change our routines
become new creatures
And through Jesus Christ become clean again, be spiritually reborn and have a second chance.
You can start over by having faith in Jesus Christ, repenting, and being baptized by water and by the Spirit.

Being baptized is a symbol of the Lord's death and resurrection. It is also a symbol of leaving our past self and starting a new life in Christ.

@Pedro Moo, which is the very reason I wanted to be baptized again. No one explained anything. Not the leaders, the Bishop, and certainly not my parents. I love Jesus Christ with all my heart and soul now, because I have studied and read The Bible from start to finish, the Book of Mormon at least five times, and then to know the anguish He went through to be Our Savior.

@@tmadsam I’ve got to agree. That’s why I love going to the temple. When I was 8 I did it because 1) I wanted to because it felt right 2) I had always been raised that way. But now that it’s been 10 1/2 years, I wish I had fully understood what I’d been doing. How much it meant. It’s hard to explain something so monumental to an 8 year old, but I get it. I do love going to the temple though to preform proxy baptisms, because I feel like I get to do it all over again.

I didn't understand baptism when I it was done. Baptized at 8 into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Can you be rebaptized now that I understand? Because of the dysfunctional family I was born into, nothing was explained. Now I understand. Now I love Jesus Christ, and I want to be healed by Him. How can I request to be baptized again, this time for real? I need help! Serious help!

If you were baptized into a different church than The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, talk to our church's missionaries about how you can be baptized by immersion with priesthood authority into Jesus Christ's church. If your baptism was into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when you were a child, the great news is that you renew the covenants you made with God every time you take the sacrament. So you don't need to physically be baptized again, you can experience healing and forgiveness through continuously repenting and taking the sacrament.

@@Terminatorguy34 He told me it can only be one time unless I am excommunicated, go through the process of repenting, then I could be re-baptized. I have no wish to do a large sin to be kicked out of the Church, so I guess I just stay with the first one.

The partaking of the sacrament is what renews those covenants that we make at baptism. It’s as if we are renewing that same moment, and that same gift, each and every week. I hope this helps :)

@Jade McDowell don't think of it as getting kicked out of the church, that's not at all accurate. It's more of taking those covenants and promises, you've made with God, and pushing them aside, taking a "time out" per say. It gives you "breathing room" while you try to "fix yourself and get back into "proper form".

@Colton Nash Is the idea that a person baptized by someone without priesthood authority doesn't yet have their sins forgiven? Like, cleansed from sin is the same as having your sins forgiven?

@@jmalko9152 Where is that in the Bible.. The only Authority from which we base right relationship..God gave John the Baptist The Authority not man.. God calls Apostle Prophet evangelist pastors and teachers not man it cannot be earned or rewarded

@@trublu2556 Well, if you're looking for a Bible-only response, I'd say this from the beginning of John. "I didn’t recognize him, but he who sent me to baptize in water said to me, ‘On whomever you will see the Spirit descending and remaining on him is he who baptizes in the Holy Spirit.’" It's Jesus who does the baptizing that counts. It doesn't really matter who holds you underwater. Nice to meet you ❤️

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9 "But as many as received him (Jesus), to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" - John 1:12 The blood of Christ washes away all sin. "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace" - Ephesians 1:7 The canon of Holy Scripture was closed at the ending of Revelation. The true Christian faith was once delivered (past tense) to the saints. There is no further scripture from God. There is no “another testament of Jesus Christ”. The 66 books of the Holy Bible are sealed forever as God’s word. “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book” - Revelation 22:18 “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” - Jude 1:3 God does not dwell in temples. "God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands" - Acts 17:24
