Mr. Whiskers has cordially invited you to a jail cell of your very own! Try and get comfortable, but watch out for the Boar Man... Play Mr. Whiskers ► gamejolt.com/g...
You know what to noticed as soon as Mark entered the bar at 36:48 there's a song in the background playing "Daddy's Girl" by The Mills Brothers. I appreciate this scene in the game so much because these men are stranded on this island. Some of them may be husbands and fathers and for that song to be played in the background created a strong vibe to the setting. Certain music is played to distract or comfort people from the harsh reality of situation they're in.
The light switch jumpscare is absolute genius. It forces you to spam it so you either stop paying attention to it or focus all of your attention on it and then you just get bodyslammed
@Sagan Mcmahon No, but the jump scare would be less expected and more effective if you had to spam click the light switch as opposed to clicking it once.
@@derekrequiem4359 well not only that you didnt have to deny what he said cuz he was right if youd have to only click once youd click it expecting a jumpscare but spamming it will kinda put hes thaughts on something else not expecting it.
First, why does he torture people to act like animals? What is his motive? Who are actually the people we meet? Who were they? Why is he called Mr. Whiskers? Is The Boreman secretly Mr. Whiskers' tortured brother or relative?
You do know that it's super hard to slit your own throat by accident, right? You have to both cut hard enough to get past all of your skin and cut one of the main veins in your neck. Not something one does by accident. Not to mention that it's sewn to their heads not their necks. At most the only bad thing that could happen is an infection.
but if they take it off, the boarman would go after them to make them pretty again :0 they've all adjusted in order to survive. the boarman knows about their secret club, but he just doesn't care because they're all still wearing the masks. it's all good in the hood for him. you aren't though. that's why you got kicked out of the club -- not exactly because you had no mask, but because not having a mask put them all in danger.
What the guy said in German was: "I love this bar! Free drinks! Haha!" Edit: Holy shiz yall gave me so many likes! I only used Google Translate though, to be honest.
Nobody: Not a soul: Not even Mr. Whiskers: Mark: *Opens every thing while being as loud as possible and trying to bonk everything with a bone and shovel*
Nobody: Mark's character: I don't wan't to break a leg Me: I'd rather jump out the window and break a leg then get a mask tied on my face, then die Edit: Thanks for likes on a shitty comment I made
To be fair, we don't know if out there is still part of wherever this place is. And if you break your leg it'll be a lot harder to run from people trying to sew something on your face
So I have ADD/ADHD and it takes me a while to process things so one second I was processing the Trigger warning for suicide and then the next moment I was getting scared shitless.
I let him run around. I just have to put him up at night and when I'm at work. Besides that he has free run of the house. That and he has a four floor cage. He's in good hands.
I feel bad for the bunny head dude that shot himself. He was depressed and in suffering. The only way out was suicide, after I heard the whole scene of him saying what he said, I was thinking of how it might have looked from inside the stall.
Pretty sure it's the dude that tried to hang himself since assumingly they're different characters, they both tried to kill themself. and the fact he disappeared of the noose makes it more believable to me.
this game just has this overwhelming feeling of despair hanging over it. I feel like most good horror indie games have this quality as well, because it tenses you up and when the jumpscare comes the scares are amplified.
The newspaper says that there's 14 missing people that Mr. Whiskers has taken. I did the math and there's 21people missing (Including the Boarman & yourself).
Game: says there is nothing useful on a shelf with a saw on it Markiplier: oh of course there's TOTALLY nothing useful here! Game: says a bone is useful Markiplier: oh this is TOTALLY full of use!
The orchestra music that plays when you find The Watching is the same song my grandad plays for us whenever me and my brother go spend a few nights at his house. Thanks game, i’ll never be able to sleep over there again
This video was the reason I played whiskers way back in 2019 and I loved the game so much. After 3 years I decided to play it again for nostalgic purposes and played through it in one sitting. Now I'm watching this video again also after 3 years, just thought I'd share this with anyone who's reading the comments idk why
@@left4life there's an effing remake?! I need to do research on this I'm def gonna play that! Edit: omg the graphics look so much better! Thank you for sharing this❤️
Jumpscares or creepy moments: *0:00** Bunny hanged small jumpscare* *1:52** Bunny hanged small jumpscare* 5:04 sudden sound 5:37 Very creepy screams 6:01 A horse dead body falling on the ground *11:29** Quick sound jumpscare with a fast apparition in the background.* 12:37 suicide + gore warning 14:12 dead cow with flies sounds (not a jumpscare) *15:31** Small surprising scare* 20:09 A cute little bird appear but it can be a bit surprising maybe. *21:05** A jumpscare. Just weird sounds. 28:18 gore warning 28:51 A creepy, yet awkward moment. 38:50 Surprising sound and a (not scary) green thingy appearing at the window for a split second. *41:57** Small scare...* 43:27 Scary sounds, then... 43:32 gore warning 43:48 Epileptic warning + Scary cat shadow or something with saturation sounds... *44:02** And A BIG jumpscare to end this game.* The notes next to the timestamps can spoil what will be the jumpscare/creepy moment. Real jumpscares are going to be *highlighted* like that.
Guy: *shoots himself in the head and dies.* Me: Oh well, lets carry on. (Trying to keep my crap together) Markiplier: *explodes with shock* OH NUUUUU I NEVER WANTED THATTTT!!!
I am really interested in the lore behind this. like why is there a man sewing masks on people? just for entertainment? and why do they kill themselves? What's so bad about it? it's like if you have plastic surgery or something. which he probably does it when you are aware and that pains you but once it's over its over. or is it because he put them in this game where they have to escape or die, however, the ones who didn't try to escape were living fine ig, and they do fishing to feed themselves
I mean, they've been stripped away from their entire lives. They had animal masks forcefully stuck to their heads for the rest of their lives. They can never leave, they're under constant threat of the boreman killing them. If they attempt at trying to escape or helping others rebuild a normal life they die. There's literally no way out of the torture besides committing suicide. And yes, Mr. Wiskers does this for his entertainment and nothing else.
@@wubbysalmon2072 some of them are living it off fine under the sewers but it would get depressing after awhile admittedly but if they work as a team in figuring a way out. It's going to work
Making a prediction based on what I've seen so far (14:40) and the name of the game... Mr. Whiskers kidnaps people and and takes them to this place where they must survive and try to escape. Most give up, go insane, die, or are killed. The kidnapper is obviously a cat who likes playing cat and mouse and likes to play with its "food." I'm thinking there is no way out, and that Mr. Whiskers sets up these kind of games and goose chases to entertain himself. This is a murder play house basically. (19:09) I knew it. (finished) I thought the plot would get a lot darker than it did. I thought the character would end up going insane or something like that and it would end kinda like The Blair Witch, but not him BEING the bad guy... Just him being as insane as the bad guy.
@@jenniferdarnell5491 wdym put a spoiler alert, he shouldn't this is an educated guess that he got right, instead of diving deep into the comments when you hop into a video instead you know, watch the video
7:10 “Whuh-eenie, meanie, miney, mo Catch a tiger by the toe If he hollers, let ‘im-go Gonna flush a-(bonk)-bone down the-(bonk) toilet!!” _oh gosh why am I laughing so hard_
So... yeah, it would be (17, -4), because a positive x means go right, negative x makes you go left. Positive y makes you go up, negative y makes you go down.
I appreciate how mark starts putting on warm clothes and a blanky during a horror game Also if anyone wants to know what the pig guy was saying, here is a translation “i love this bar, free drinks! haha!”
