You and TRF released your Oct lure videos about ten min apart. He was all "downsize your lures" and you're like "the bigger the swimbait, the better". This is why i love fishing - the endless opportunity to tinker, tweak, and second guess yourself followed by the rush of getting it right once in a while.
That's funny you say that because I was going to watch Trf first but then I'd seen this video was posted first so I decided to watch it but guarantee after I watch this video I going straight to the TRF next LoL
Went out just last week and had the greatest day of fishing me and my buddy have had for a good while, was smacking them on a craw colored square bill!
In October I love to fish some sort of inline spinner, it has a lot of the qualities of the buzzbait you were talking about. You can cover lots of water with it, work it fast or slow, shallow or deep, (depending on whether you let it sink or not) etc. I caught my pb largemouth in late october on a #5 mepps. Nice video!
That magdraft practically skips itsself lol its phenomenal for skipping docks, laydowns, and overhangs. Just start the skip and it just walks itsway back there 😂 i swear its great
I see what you did Something for the top of the water colum( buzz bait) or plopper bait) Just below the surface (glide bait) Mid depth ( magdraft) Bottom (Jig)
Hey Tyler. On the MiniMax… give 13 fishing Ninja worm a try for a trailer. Of course cut it down to size but the tail gives a pretty unique action paired with the blade. Just a suggestion for everyone. Been working out for me here in southern Ohio
I love fishing small swimbaits. Right now Im using a 5g Raid under-spin & crushing them. This year I started down the big bait rabbit hole. I was hooked when I caught a 5 lber on a 6" magdraft. Big swimbaits & glides are super fun to fish. It's like throwing a chicken on the end of your rod. Wow, on how expensive it is & you cry or cuss when you lose a bait. It's an addiction.
Hey Tyler, awesome stuff but I’m confused. Bait number three you said was a swim bait then you start talking and then you talk glide bait? These are two different things maybe since it’s this time of year you could do a video talking about both types of Lures
Under your view the upper layer would then take its oxygen with it as it sinks and the cold layers that are coming up ???? Would be similarly oxygenated by the wind as the sinking layer was…
I hate to sound like a broken record but the upper layer of water is not the only layer to cool down. All layers cool down. The upper layer warms back up each day. The upper layer does not sink into the lower layers unless the lake has some real issues health wise
I find & catch ton of bass in super shallow water all winter down here in southern SC. They come up to warm up in sun. Everyone else thinks their out deep& I'm sure some are like always. I crush them shallow & top of water collum offshore in the kayak
I’ll be throwing a glide/swim bait a lot more this October. Solid choices for October , I’d add a spinnerbait / Chatterbait though . Spinnerbaits flat out catch fish this time of year in Massachusetts
