Your polite and assertive mannerisms, plus your clever way of questioning, really does disarm many who confront you. Love your style of auditing, respect man!!
@@bensmith5231 when your a customer paying good money for a product that is being managed by a supposedly secure site you want those issues identified and rectified with immediate effect. If that takes a member of the public to identify it, and the md shows this kind of attitude it doesn't look good for company or customer.
Watching these videos you generally find Operations Managers have an large ego and invariably aren’t interested in feedback as they think it’s personal. This guy had every opportunity but once corrected about drone use felt he was losing control of the conversation and quickly retreats to the safety of his office where he’s always right.
My hubby was an operations manager, when he retired he had no employees to boss around, I finally had to put my foot down and remind him I wasn’t his employee and to stop bossing me around. He was very intelligent and needed to be the boss.
I love it when security guards, who spend their lives telling other people what to do, get told what to do and don't want to do it. (the guard that had to move his car)
As a mobility scooter user I am obstructed from using the pavement on a daily basis by parked cars. They risk a lot of damaged paintwork from people trying to squeeze past. 🙂
They are basically just selfish people who do not think of other people at all in there lives, as long as they can park their car they don't give a monkeys uncle about kids in pushchairs or people in wheelchairs having to go into the road where there are lots of HGVs driving about..
The thing is, imho if you are being obstructed on a public path by a parked vehicle, and your using a mobility scooter, or pushing a pram, and you or somebody else scratches their, cars, they wont be able to claim for it, also, if your going past their car that is obstructing a public path, and you get a injury from their vehicle, they should be liable, IE rust sticking out catches your hand, and cuts you, risk of infection etc, if you fall because you have had to squeeze though a tight gap or go onto a grass bank and slip and fall, again these inconsiderate bar holes should be made to give you compensation
How could you not like DJ Audits? Love this guy! Great attitude, very calm, cool, collected, and gets his point across without making a scene. (Had to edit in a question mark 😁)
Hostile when approaching you but soon change their attitude whenever they see you can't, and won't, be intimidated. Keep the splendid clips coming my friend.
Do you fly Kevin? I met my first UA pilot about 5 years ago and he had no legs. I got friendly with him and he mentored me through my early days as a pilot. Unfortunately, he died rather suddenly in middle age. His name was Steve and may he rest in peace with fair weather for flying.
Yes bud I fly a DJI Mini 2 now Operator ID flyer ID and BMFA drone insurance, just getting back into it as need somthing to get me outside. I have made race drones in the past and also used too fly large scale rc helicopters and nitro helicopters as had a BMFA A licence to train people from a club i used to be in all when I had both my legs.
Also after the Army I trained in security none of the mupets you meet DJ would have past back then, Also security would follow high value container loads.
@@mrspudly1 I don't think it's a pointless argument! Cars shouldn't be parked on the pavement regardless of location. Not enough police or parking enforcement officers to go around areas and enforce the law, a nice sharp point accidentally scraped down side of car might make the irresponsible driver think about their parking positions in future 🤡🤡.
Yes bud I Fly a DJI Mini 2 now have my Operator ID Flyer ID also have BMFA Drone insurace. Have made race drones in the past before CAA made life hard, also used to fly large scale rc helicopters.
@@imconfused1237 protruding parts on wheelchairs and pushchairs, so I'm not going to walk in the road now am I? Obviously the other 2 people that also commented must be inconciderate parkers as well. 🖕
Hi D J, after you have been around there for several minutes one of the 'security' staff comes out beyond the boundary of his responsibilities and asks if there is any way he can help and when you tell him about the badly parked cars he does not want to know!, did he really want to be of assistance or was that opening gambit an example of passive aggression?. He then just walks away when you say there is a relevant security issue that might interest him, does this confirm that he was only ever a bored tyrant looking for someone to bully. The place round the side where those plastic pallets are stacked is all marked as car parking spaces, thus causing the overcrowding that left available. Bad and inconsiderate site management, further demonstrated by his failure to get to the facts about drones. The final encounter was going quite well but in the end they could not stand there being corrected by you, their ego's could not stand it any longer!. Cheers, Richard.
I echo what some of your other subs are saying. The sheer professionalism of your interactions is sublime and hopefully, will continue to give me guidance in the future and aid me in my dealings with the public. I must say that I used your friendly but firm tactic on a gamekeeper who was questioning why I was filming a steam railway from a public footpath. I was informative and helpful and he appreciated the fact and has invited me back to fly there anytime I like.
You're bang out of order with these videos. Thanks to you I've now got a massive urge to go out and buy a bloody drone because you've made them look like a load of fun. 😂. Where's me credit card!?
Gets a bit silly sometimes. I don't understand why people don't just ignore auditors now. It's been going on long enough to know just to laugh and get on with their jobs.
@@NoName-hh5pn yet here you are complaining though you've still given views. Some of the yank auditors are bang out of line so to speak but PJ, DJ, AB, Vietch etc and a few of the yank ones are actually decent and well behaved so I'll support them any day. The outrageous crew can screw off. Either way end of the day, if bosses and security aren't dickheads there's nothing to view no money to be made and there's a lesson in that. You can thank security and cops for it becoming a thing to start with! All because they wanted to screw people over!
Amazing my friend keep up the good work that you do and keep these people educated with the laws of the the land i watch all the time thanks for your hard work 👍
I've delivered there loads of times! Go back in the winter when its snowy you will have a field day! Where you back the truck onto is on a slope and they never put any salt down to help the drivers get out the vehicle.
A lot of these people think that high viz jackets, or other forms of uniform, gives them authority. But authority (in part derived from Latin "auctor", meaning "author") is a actually a product of knowledge, hence the phrase, "knowledge is power", and hence the fact that a person may be considered an authority in x or y. To have authority is not to have some kind of special powers, it is simply to *know*. This is nicely demonstrated in your videos, as you go up against people who think they have authority. They come to find, despite their uniform and your lack of one, that it is actually you who has the authority, because - *you know*. The knowledge is yours, and with it so too is the power.
Unfortunately in a large part of Britain (except london and the few councils that have legislated on the matter ) it is not actually illegal (it's a "should not " not a "must not") although it is being considered
@@imconfused1237 I know of places in Essex where entire roads full of pavement-parkers have been ticketed, in a clamp-down following media coverage of the problem - also seen local police ticketing for cars parked more than 6 inches from the kerb - they even had a gauge to verify the distance!
It's nice to see that your knowledge about public access is so politely expressed to the people questioning you. It puts them on the back foot, as it's much easier to deal with and shut down people who are being aggressive or rude! You will always get aggressive, ill-informed staff members, but this is 2020 and not 1950. If I worked for some of these companies, I would be using your videos as examples during internal staff training, and I assume some companies are now doing this. You could actually make a decent living by doing some audits and then delivering some internal training for companies; just a thought. And as an afterthought, I've delivered training as a tutor (not a teacher) for twenty years. I'd be happy to deliver such sessions based on your reports to such companies. I know you could do it yourself, but I'm happy to make some wages from your talents!
Nice done as always and it's not just mums that have these issues with ignorant car owners who park on the pavement it's also disabled people who rely on wheelchairs and mobility scooters, I have this issue daily. So sad that no one in that company was willing to deal with it.
🤣More of your deadly innocent courtesy DJ - STILL nobody has worked out how to 'handle' you, and I don't reckon anyone will simply because it's impossible! Brilliant, thank you again, I laughed all through it.
DJ, when some muppet tells you that you need permission, the best and truthful answer is, “Yes. I have permission from the CAA. That’s the Civil Aviation Authority. It’s a UK government department that controls UK airspace, you know”.
A lot of this behaviour becomes the norm. It's very easy to fall into bad habits. I'm sure an organisation as large as this one has an Health and Safety Officer. Most policies stipulate that Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of working are reviewed on a regular basis. It comes down to priorities.
I used to watch quite a few different auditors DJ but I got a bit cheesed off with the confrontational type of auditors, the ones who do police stations, etc., were they know they are going to get trouble operating a drone and camera, nothing wrong with what they are doing but they seem to go out of there way to get hassled and even arrested sometimes. Anyway I got sick of them and these days the only auditor I watch is you DJ, I like your style, your assertiveness without losing tempers or causing problems and the type of places that you are visiting, although you do still come across some right plonkers you politely tell them the laws and educate them for next time someone comes along. I don't miss a video you put out on RU-vid now and enjoy your work a lot. Cheers man :)
@12.43 In the background what is the chap in a yellow hi-vi doing sitting on the kerb behind the red pavement-parked car? Would you need to sit down to record its number plate?
they would be legally parked on the road, but can get a ticket when they pull onto the kerb, and the company are well aware of it. it's a shame that they are to self important to take it on board...
DJ! I think the barriers are more of a visual signal just to tell vehicles to go or stop so they sign in or out, they aren't actually for physical security. Being broken doesn't really effect security, it's more a health and safety issue.
Amazing that he comes out and asks if he can help DJ with anything, and yet is totally unwilling to listen to any of the observations! He shouldn’t go out and speak at all. He only made a fool of himself.
3:49 - I love these restriction signs - I always expect to see under Don't Smoke, Don't Drink the words "Subtle innuendos follow, Must be somethin' inside"?
The S African guy with the high viz started off fine but pillocked it all up when he just walked away ignoring you like a kid with a tantrum. He should at least have taken an interest in a concern by a member of the public. Love to see that you stick to your mission DJ no matter what. "I may see good things, I may see bad things " SIA licences on front of jacket is non disputable.
Another fantastic audit ...I'm a security guard there are 6 in total, door supervisor ,, security ,,cctv,,cvit,,vehicle immobiliser,,close protection,,
SDP Normally insurance only covers too and from one place of work, not to carry out work with your vehicle. So yes in course of working with/in vehicle business insurance would be needed.
How corporations and government have wrecked employees and citizens heads with paranioa. DJ yous are doing a service to humanity. People get your kids watching DJ and other polite auditors.
As well as being parked on the pavement a couple of cars were parked opposite a t junction. Rule 243 of the Highway Code states you must not park opposite or within 10 metres (32 feet) of a junction, except in an authorised parking space.
@@imconfused1237 yeah you're right ,the highway code says stuff like " you must obey speed limits" ,it's not law so you don't have to ,it's ok, nothing will happen if you do 60 in a 30 .........

I wouldn't even bother replying to comments left by i'm confused, they seem to like making people think they know everything. 😴😴😴 He made quite a few comments to me but it looks like they've been removed. 🤔🤔
Well done as usual my friend I’m rather shocked 😳 the security was so uneducated and rude makes a bad name for the company. The company also has Absolutely No respect for pushcarts What a Disgrace
Wow, this company should be ashamed of their very unhelpful, untrained, rude staff. I think it is just an Ego thing, See the way that first bloke just kept shrugging his shoulders. He thinks..."How dare you tell me things".
I use to work for a bus company which had a large automatic sliding gate to allow vehicle access. It was in a state of continuous disrepair; either through some sort of mechanical problem or drivers trying to enter the property before the gate had opened fully. These people approach you armed only with a false sense of authority and importance only to find themselves outgunned.
Parking on the footpath seems to be normal practice these days for many drivers including professional hgv drivers, police, ambulance ect aswel as school run drivers, I've even seen driving instructors picking up/ dropping off their client before or after lessons and don't even start me on pedestrian footpath zigzags...
Rather surprising that a company of this size does not provide on site or off site parking for its staff. That being said their general attitude appears to be one of no interest in anything!
Agree. They have blocked off a large part of their own area to park a few trailers and other things. This might have been for 'H&S' reasons but I think they could have used their space better. If they moved some of their bins and concreted over a bit of the end of the car park all the staff could park round the back leaving visitors to park in the area next to the main road. I think the company policies and decisions have created and exacerbated their own parking problems.
DAVE thinks he is entitled to ask members of the public to give him their name when they've not even been on the site. Yet he thinks he can tell someone not to film him. You can't have it both ways DAVE.
Absolutely no consideration for wheelchair users, love to know what their policy is for people with disabilities. They seem to have staff with special needs!
As a bloke who has a son in an electric wheelchair this would absolutely put me off from using CEVA. Two senior staff were alerted to the issue and couldn't be arsed to do anything about it. Their PR videos would tell everyone how socially responsible they are but *this* tells you in real time what they really think about considering others.
These jokers are on another planet if they think they can demand your name and not fly a drone over there business but when you politely tell them your findings they aren't interested big mistake and as for parking on the pavement it's my pet hate how inconsiderate not only do they have the road the want the path as well they should be give a ticket for illegally parking impeding there way great audit DJ showing us the bad attitude at some of these places and the inconsideration for others
If they are concerned security of the site, they need to talk to their security staff in regards to leaving the gate barriers open. I would report these vehicles that’s parked on the pavement to the police. As they are quick enough to come out when these companies report the public with a camera on the public property
Its polite to ask if you can fly a drone. Its still disrespecting privacy. Its an industrial estate with no houses. People with pushchairs dont really walk along here and theres a path the other side anyway.
Yes, you are technically correct but DJI Drones will not fly over due to the software installed. It just sounds good when you tell them they are not as restricted as a prison or an airport. I guess we could say even police stations are open airspace for 249g drones.
It is very rare to find a descent manager these days. Most of them are with not only very poor knowledge of general laws and regulations, but also lack of practical skills, planning, accountability, responsibility. Majority of them have blabbing skills + ego which disables ability to listen and critical thinking.
If the security guard is employed directly by the company he does not need an SIA licence .If you will be working ‘in-house’ You do not usually need an SIA licence if you will be working ‘in-house’. This is when you are employed directly by the company that uses your services. However, you will need to have an SIA licence if you work in-house and your job involves: door supervision at a licensed premises vehicle immobilising - this only applies in Northern Ireland
Maybe you should have stopped him at the junction and offered him a keyring to find out some information , I did feel like he didn't want to say anything in front of the staff , handing him his paperwork , just in case they made him wait longer next time he delivered 😊
Very naive comment, after 40 years working as a roofing contractor H & S goes out of the window when it suits the powers that be. Try sticking your nose onto a construction site and see how far you get.
Very good video again just 1thing the are no longer 40feet look at back if containers over hang trailers they're 42feet made this way to get 26 standard pallets on them. Love the video about BMW cars parking outside on foot path wish you go back a month later to see if something has being done about it. Chelsea again
