YOU Chose WRONG!!! Saadia v. Kematu 

I handed Saadia over to the Red Guards and have no problems sleeping well at night.

Saadia’s story had holes big enough to fly a dragon through. The Aldmeri Dominion sending Alik’r warriors instead of Thalmor… an execution in Hammerfell instead of the Summerset Islands… I side with Kematu.

Saadia rubbed me the wrong way. Glad to hear I pick right.

Saadia did start to give me an odd feeling from the start but I’ve started turning her over to them.

😂 I love how people are posting in the comments here that the Aldmeri Dominion couldn't even reach Hammerfell, then Jake shows us at 2:36 in the vid that they withdrew from Hammerfell.... Meaning they were definitely there. But what really cracks me up is at 5:57 Jake says, "They're gonna take her into custody, they're not gonna kill her."... Days later her remains are found in Whiterun's Hall of the Dead. They didn't even bother to take Saadia back to Hammerfell, they just killed her after you leave. Congratulations, you played yourself. 😂🤣😂

I never go with Sadia. It makes no sense. 'Speaking out against the dominion'? Not only arent they in Hammerfell, but they are in ACTIVE conflict. People talk about how her remains end up in Whiterun, but if shes running from Hammerfell and her last 'home' was Whiterun so theyed lay her to rest plus i dont like how ahe immediatley threatens you. He at least wants to talk things out?

I side with the gold. Betray Saadia get paid then betray Kematu and get paid again and leave no witnesses.

I side with Saadia every single time.

Saadia is quite shady and is very likely lying. The Alik'r are also shady and also is very likely lying. Both have a good amount of inconsistensies with their stories and backgrounds. Why is Saadia in Whiterun? Why are the Alik'r in a cave with bandits? etc. Sometimes I think there may be some other thing that both parties are not telling me. There is one thing clear however: When I went to the cave, bandits attacked me. The Alik'r welcoming committee. Then when I defeated said bandits, the Alik'r suddenly decided to talk... ohhh... right. Alik'r goons: Hey this guy's too powerful! What are we gonna do? Kematu: Don't worry guys, I got high speechcraft. I got this. Kematu presents some half-truths. But the logic is still flawed. Even appealed to the player's desire to be "not a simp". Ha! "Do not simp for a pretty face, simp only for my smooth-talk." Will it be enough to persuade the dragonborn? Apparently, that was all it took to make many forget about the wonderful welcome they received just a couple of minutes ago. Hard to swallow pill: A lot of players just experienced speechcraft... from the other end of the stick. lol. If the proper authorities really wanted to get Saadia, let them send proper agents, not some shady mercs who immediately tries to kill possible sources of information. Then again, you know what they say about snitches...

what if both are right from the wiki page shown "the Aldmeri Dominion completely withdraws from Hammerfell" meaning that they were in Hammerfell, on the page it even gives the time of 4E 171 to 4E 180. Saadia: while the Aldmeri Dominion were in Hammerfell she spoke out against them, most likely someplace they controlled, and her life was threatened so she ran away. not hearing anything from her homeland, so doesn't know about the withdrawal and possibly thinks Hammerfell fell due to the Aldmeri Dominion's "strength", she then hears about the Redguards looking for her and thinks in a panicked state "The Aldmeri Dominion sent Redguards as to not draw unwanted attention". Kematu: a soldier following orders from higher-ups who want a scapegoat for the Aldmeri Dominion to be able to invade at all. Having just finished a civil war they needed to unify to fight the Aldmeri Dominion and appear strong so the invention was made to look like traitors, Saadia, and most likely others, selling out the city causing it to falter rather than a lack of power. Saadia was likely picked to be a "traitor" due to running away rather than actually selling out. TLDR: Saadia is crazy and paranoid but not a traitor, Kematu's higher-ups are using her to cover up weaknesses and to unify Hammerfell

I always help Saadia...Killing Kematu is faster and the reward is the same. Plus you have one more friendly barmaid. When a mass murdering Dragonborn cannot sleep because of the "wrong" decision in this quest, than there is something wrong with the Dragonborn :)

I used to take out the Alik’r just to level up skills a little more, but yeah it’s pretty obvious that Saadia is in the wrong

With over 4300 playing hours in Skyrim and as a 54 year old gamer lady.. I sided with Saadia ONCE (in my first PT) .. ALWAYS I side with Kematu now as even that first time I felt my instincts telling me she was shady. She's a lier and manipulative woman.

Far as I can remember, I always turn Saadia in. She is giving me the manipulator-101 vibe. We've seen a few of Thalmor assassination/kidnapping attempts in Skyrim - Esbern, Malborn, oh, and the Dragonborn when they finally had enough of our good deeds. The Thalmor always uses their own or Khajiit assassins, but never a Redguard. Also, yeah, Hammerfell is not under Dominion rule so her story doesn't add up.

If you side with Kamatu, you'll find Saadias dead body in the Whiterun catacombs

Since I tend to roleplay evil characters a lot I tend to kill kematu. Or one can even go full chaotic and betray Saadia then betray kematu while he's capturing her and kill him.

The Thalmor aren't in Skyrim either right, they all left after the White Gold Concordat... oh wait... Saadia is working in an inn. The Alikir are hiding in a cave full of bandits and harassing women walking along the roads. Though there is never a full revelation given one way or the other. I think you'd have to be a twit to believe the Alikir over Saadia.

Both the Thalmor and Redguards can go to oblivion, more free space for the Orcs and Khajits (and perhaps for the Dunmer)

Um, did you know if you wait awhile and then go search the crypt in Whiterun you find Saadia's ashes? SHe never went back for trial she was killed. They are assassins....

Alright I gotta play devil’s advocate a bit. Now I do believe kematu is telling the truth. HOWEVER, what doesn’t make sense to me is that, the people Skyrim hate the Aldmeri dominion too. So, if these men were sent by nobles of hammerfell, why would the noble houses not inform the jarls of their situation. And why are these men being treated like they’re completely untrustworthy by all the guards, and why do they have to hide in a cave, and why are they working together with bandits. See all that don’t sit right with me, but neither does saadia, this entire quest don’t sit right with me.

I have a mod that gave kamatu and other NPC unique weapons i killed him for the curved sword then killed saadia after

i was choosing kematu, and receive 500 gold, and then felt bad after saadia got caught, so i kill kematu and surprise i got another 100? then when saadia wake up she fight me so my companion killed her too. so yeah there's that, am i wrong?

okay quick bit, saadia is a traitor to hammerfell, look at the map of tamriel and you will see the location of hammerfell compared to the dominion. the only way the aldmeri dominion can take hammerfell is through infiltration.

This is one messed-up quest.

Seems like this quest is not worth doing no matter what side you pick.

This is for people who think the Hammerfal warriors kill her because her remains are in Whiterun hall of the dead Her remains ened up there because of a glitch, she is considered a citizen of Whiterun, and when you turn her in and the quest is completed, she will be removed from the game. If you kill her then the warriors will get angry because they don't wanr her dead, they want her to stand trial. If you turn her in then Thalmor assassins will attack you later on because she was actively working for them. I know that the reason why some of us sidded with her is because we only see women as the victims when it comes to situations like this, thats the way society was set up, and thats the reason why I sidded with her my first playthrough, but after doing research and watching countless other videos, i realize that the true victims are her people that she betrayed.
