This is so good. I normally dont like to see individuals singing a song that was written as a threesome, but BP is just so good, she gets away with it. Also it is good to actually hear the lyrics (not always possible when 3 are singing). "Turning off a person is the act of a man who likes to pull the hooks out of fish!" Classic! :)
Same hear this is why I love him for having a giant playlist of all her live performances and I thought nations of the world was a crazy song to try and keep up with whew boy good luck trying to keep up with singing with this song also is it bad that I actually find her really attractive
I wish! I'm really into theater too so i always fantasize about her helping me out and kinda giving me an edge in show biz, but i know that that would never happen....
There's one thing about this performance that annoys me. She practically sings it straight. The song is in swing time, but she's singing it in straight time. It annoys the hell out of me. It could drive a person crazy.
Dorothy Loudon does the best tribute to this song ever, & she holds back on the @&£ word. Search for it & get two joys of Sondheim for one, would love to know what you think, (like you ain't heard it before) I think it is amazing.
I don't like her performance overall. She sings it too straight so much of the time that when she switches a gear it feels 'actorly' rather than sincere. It's also just not fun that she thinks she's above singing "Bobby is my hobby and I'm giving it up".
