Yeah, you're correct that the aa reset works. The game was at a silver 5 level and the replay was from the beginning of June. I've improved since then. Either way, respect Mamel for the great editing and the sheer excitement of the way the game played out. It might not have been challenger level, but it certainly was exciting and something special!
To me backdoors are the ultimate display of skill. To be able to kite around the nexus that much to live while still dealing damage is just amazing to me.
If you noticed, Cait got down to more than half health by the time the Zhonya's was over. AND, if you don't know, turrets do increased damage if it keeps attacking the same person. So she would have most likely died.
using ur w right after an auto-atk will refresh ur auto-atk animation and even though w wont be consumed and there will be no damage increase or stun u will practicly auto twice in less time than what u normaly would, works with all the "enchanted auto-atk skills" such as nasus's Q.
DebatablyClutch answered a couple questions on Reddit. He said Soraka actually sold her items for more AP so her ultimate would heal for more. Undebatably clutch.
When you're in a situation like this, send back the 2 members of the team that deal the least damage to towers and who have CC. In this case, sending back Maokai and Katarina as soon as they saw Renekton doing inhibitor would have won them the game. An AP Carry doesn't do any damage to towers anyway.
it does work on towers nexus's and inhibs it doesnt use the stun or double hit, it just resets his timer on auto attacks. i wouldnt expect you to know this. how it works is you auto attack then press w imideatly after to auto again rather then wait for your regularly timed auto, basically it just makes you auto attack 2 times quickly rather than wait for your regular auto timers.
She is a major component of that win. If you saw the author's post on reddit, he did say that the Soraka saw what was going on and sold everything she had to buy pure AP items for a much stronger heal. They both were vital components in what made this awesome play.

yeah, but the only reason that clip is what it is was because of that ONE ability soraka used. No heal, he's dead, games won by the other team. It's nothing more than an "NT GG". Soraka's heal was 50% of it, Renekton's play was 50% of it.
lot's of things won that game. soraka and renek for obvious reasons, but had zac missed smite renek would have died before destroying the nexus. And the lux: who knows what would have happened if the lux wasnt afk?
"Would have died" while she was over half health and the turret took 2 seconds to take down after the Zhonyas.. She would have lived trough that and done some good basic attacks on the away to victory, but no.
so there is a lesson, do not split up the team. If everyone went straight to the enemy base, it was a win. If everyone went back to kill Renekton first, it was a win. Btw report Mapledude21 for quitting the game
He used auto attacks to kill the base, didnt use his stun as an AA reset and wasn't thinking of healing back the minion damage he took from taking the inhib with his Q. Best? no. Did he make a good game decision? yes

NO, she planned to die at the exact time so she would respawn right when renekton was close to death, so she could press R with the utmost accuracy securing a win for her team.
That is 100% true, there is no denying it. But put into perspective, she only used one ability. I'm all for giving credit to Supports but 90% Renekton here in this clip.
Renek W has a super long animation that cant be cancelled so using it would have stopped him from moving and would have allowed the other team to get on him (mao slow etc)
Kat would definitely 100% die if he didn't. He already had 4 stacks on him. He negated the 5th hit with zhonya. Turrent hit increases with each hit up to 6 stacks.
I think if she didn't use that,she would have died. She died , the speed of pushing would slow down. as only Caitlyn push the turrent. Also Vayne respawned.
