Okay, going outside to look closely because I have a couple of areas of brown. Lawn was doing nicely. About 10 days spread some site one ProG, had a light rain then It hit 85-90 for several days so I hoping it's just heat stress. Normally I start prevent fungicide (azoxystrobin and propiconazole) in May. You seeing any fungus yet ?
Not yet, but it won't be long before it shows its ugly face. The brown spots in this lawn were all heat stress. We've been in the upper 70s and lower 80s for more than a week with no rain. The ground is super dry right now.
Hello Mikey, I use a seed called Columbia Seed. I get it here locally. I don't think they sell it on the internet. The place that I get it from, they buy it directly from the supplier.
That lawn is looking beautiful. I had a question maybe you can help. I keep getting dollar spots in cool season turf and never really applid fungacides. this year i want to try an prevent it. I was recommended to use propizonicale and i azozystrobin combo but i dont think azozy is labeled for dolola rspot. I was told to mix them togeather an do about 4 apps from mid to late may till August. I think they want it mixed so the fungus does not get resistant but im not sure. Do you think this would work or is there some other product i should look into? Thanks and have a good day
Hello Petrucci, Your preventative program for dollar should start when night time temperatures are consistently 50°F. Also, when you spray, use a fan tip and make sure your spray coverage is uniformed and not missing any spots. If it was me, I would run Propiconizole by itself for 2 apps. That will get you up to 28 days per application. THEN, I would run the Propiconizole and Azoxystrobin together for 2 more apps. That will get you 28 more days per app, so that's a total of 4 apps and 112 days of coverage for dollar spot. Remember, prevention goes a long way.
Is there a specific fan tip I can use with a strom backpack? Currently I'm usung the green tip it comes with and wave it back an forth like a spray gun. I like the red tip you use in one of your videos

Most fungicides are pet friendly if used as directed on the label. Depending on what fungicide you're using, refer to the label, and it should tell you because some fungicides are different than others.
