My co-worker's daughter is one of 25 students that received over 1 mil in scholarships in that ONE HIGH SCHOOL. I'm so happy for them, but that made me reflect so hard on how the system truly failed me in high school. I expercienced the same as you. Where were the adults to motivate, implement, and ensure that we understood the value of higher education? Did they expect for us(literal childeren) to know what to do next? It's a shame how we were failed, but I also understand how poverty and being in a public school that was testing low played a role in that also. Sidenote: I don't think people talk about that weird overwhelming feeling you get the MOMENT after you graduate, and you're at home like "What do I do now?" That feeling is so haunting.
Whew! I agree! I feel like so much needs to be reevaluated in certain school districts! I thought I just wasn’t smart so applying myself didn’t even cross my mind smh. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Hey lady! I can relate so much so this video!! lol..I went to my first coding group on Saturday!! It was intro to JavaScript.. Met some nice cool ladies!! I can agree with treating self taught like college.. I have thought about this.. I'm enrolled in Code Academy Front-End Engineering course and Angela Yu Bootcamp on Udemy and I alternate each section I learn.. I see its being very helpful!! So it is like I have two college courses I'm taking, on top of work a 9-5, kids, a man, etc! In due time with hard work and staying consistent.. I will transition over into tech !! 😊

I’m not familiar with this platform but I’d think you’d still need to have the skills to communicate with the AI to get what you want. I’d have to look into it! 💕
