Did you ever consider that the woman who spoke to you might be lonely? Perhaps she just wanted to speak to someone for a minute? Did it occur to you that maybe SHE received encouraging words on the trail once, and thought she would pass it on? Is it possible that she was not focused on your weight, but on your effort? Did it ever occur to you that kindness doesn't always come with an ulterior motive? The world can be a harsh and uncaring place. Take kindness where you find it and receive it humbly. ♥
@@introvert22 basically a woman told her “good job for getting out here” on a hiking trail and Anna took it as an offensive compliment because of her size. she allegedly saw the woman again and the woman said something similar again and Anna snapped at her in a way that came across as disrespectful.
I didn't realize she's been going at it with this channel for over 5 years. She still looks the same, if not bigger. She obviously NEEDS the gym and or personal trainer.
Your video about "flaring" showed that you have been pushing yourself too hard. You should not be having to take pain killers before you exercise. Running is clearly too strenuous on your body. You should really stick to walking and at home workouts until you have lost more weight so there is kess stress on your body.

Anna, I think it’d be highly irresponsible to create a TRX instructional video. You said yourself that you’ve only just started TRX training so I’m not sure why you think you have enough technique to teach others. They’re more than just a couple of straps; you still need to use proper form and movements that won’t cause injury (i.e. jumping while holding onto the straps for dear life). You’re entitled to not heed the advice of others when it comes to your form and knees but please don’t inflict the same potential damage to your followers.
It’s hard to take any of your suggestions seriously considering that every single product you ever mention in your videos is part of a sponsorship agreement.
It is not mentioned in the description or video (so far) that this is sponsored. How do you know that it is? Or does she receive these things for free or something?
@@ann18o96You can tell by the language she uses and the way she says it. It is very scripted and is done in the fashion of an infomercial. There are specific talking points and buzz words that would not be used or thought of unless you were told to do so.
I don't think she meant a gym in the membership gym kind of way. She works out in her apartment's fitness facility - but I don't count that as a gym per se.

Thanks for the advice. I’ve been working out on an ottoman and that just sucks. I’m buying the bench because I am desperate for it. I already have some of those items, but the bands your therapist introduced is something I need to look into. Keep going and ignore all the bs!
For anyone that doesn’t have the $500 for those dumbbells, you can buy dumbbell handles and clips to use with regular weight plates. I got a barbell set with plates (came with 2 5lb, 2 10lb and 2 20lb plates and the bar is 50lbs) and bought 2 barbell handles (they’re about 7lbs each). So they aren’t as much weight as hers, but I can always go back and buy more plates. I only paid around $130 for everything and love the versatility. I can use the barbell, the dumbbells or just a plate. Hope this helps someone who is new to lifting and looking for budget equipment!
I use kettlebells at home. They are great. They’re small, they work out every part of your body, you can use them for cardio and weight training, they come in multiple weights, and they are cheap. You can get a set for $30. Kettlebell swings are an amazing all over workout for everyone from beginner to expert.
Do you recommend a brand of kettlebells? I have heard that the best are the competition ones cause they don't slam down on your forearm and cause bruising, which I know means incorrect technique, but I think the ones with the larger bells are more comfortable, yes?

Good demo on your home gym equipment. Just a little side note, there are a lot of gyms out there that will make you feel welcomed. Personally, I like the comradery that comes with a good group exercise class. I go to my local Y. It has classes that fit the needs of anyone's fitness level.

Yes, workout at home because heaven forbid someone actually says anything encouraging or complimentary to you while you're out on the trail. Its funny to me that you go on about wanting to be a runner when you're the antithesis of what runners are. We encourage EVERYONE. God help anyone who is entered into the same race as you and tries encouraging you. Of course, unless they follow you on your socials because.. y'know youre famous in your own mind.

@@best_life_becca I think it is fair for you to think this, and also, if you tally up the cost of all the products she just mentioned, it would pay for roughly a year of Planet fitness or other low cost gyms. There are a number of gums that cost $10-20 a month to go. If it were a priority, she could easily do that. Even in my poorest college days, I was about to pay that. Anna is not a poor college student by any stretch, so the cost of a gym doesn't really apply in this case.
She doesn’t get paid by how many subscribers she has. It’s all about how many views each and every video she put out and it’s paid monthly. That is with everyone on RU-vid making videos.

I love this video. I'd always been a competitive athlete, but advancing age (70-ish) and chronic illness have interferred with my fitness. I've been looking for a foldable home-workout bench and, while I read the reviews, I'm never certain if they're genuine. 😬 Thanks for giving me a recommendation I can trust and a link to the bench. Yeah I hate having to so floor exercise that has to do with knees being on the hard ground.....and always opt for the standing alternatives but that a great idea ! Maybe I need a yoga mat or just an exercise mat in general!!!

The massage gun is essential. The gun in conjunction with a foam roller, and some BCAAs (amino acids) will have you recovering from workouts far more quickly!!!! Would highly recommend.

It's great you're into fitness and bettering yourself and showing others who may be different to the normal 'fitness youtuber' top tips/ equipment. As an FYI, it looks like you may have lipedema - i'm not sure if you;ve looked into it but no matter how much you work out, without compression garments ,your lower body and upper arms will not considerably shrink. You look very small around the middle which is classic lipedema. Also, most lipedema patientas do not eat an excess of calories - its hormonal
