Hey there , thanks for the great videos. Windows has been that cheap for a few years now . I bought mine for less than 3 € about 3 years ago from a cheap reseller website . As expected the cd key i bought did not worrk . I then just contacted windows chat support and reported the website , showed them the proof of purchase email and then they just unlocked my windows for me.

Although there are questionable windows keys available on eBay from about 99p (maybe less) or similar currency. But the bigger question is how many time has this key been sold before the likes of MS, nortorn, macfee,avast, avg etc begin to notice that the same key has been used on various differant spec phones, laptops & pcs before the key gets blocked

Windows keys don't appear to be accessible from the website home page, only your direct link. Why is that?

The keys will work as long as they are not caught. Once Microsoft finds out that the key is not legal, they’ll show you a message that you may have purchased an illegal key. Google "Is it legal to use the cheap Windows 11/10 Keys available on the Internet? Do they work?"

Done some research on this myself, what I found out was basically that yah you can technically by MS product keys for cheap that are technically legit, but the reason for that is that the keys were not intended to be used in North American markets, so for instance with windows, if you are paying less than 100 to 150 then you are in all likelihood buying a license not intended for this region. But MS doesn't seem to have any region checks so they work fine. Just not sure it is really much more legit than buying a pirates key. Just something I learned in my googlings.

It's good to know about alternate license sources. I believe there will still be "piracy" on the virtualization front. Especially in home labs or small office use. Buying a new key every time you have to destroy and recreate a Virtual Machine will get expensive even at $20 a pop. Cloning an activated VM and spinning up 12 instances of that clone is also cheaper. A $1200 virtualization Linux server is still cheaper in the long run over using azure or any remote desktop cloud service. Running windows in this way is more stable, it becomes throwaway and self healing. it allows for use of legacy versions and applications on modern hardware. If someone relies on a windows NT VM running a custom $250,000 application written in the 90s they are technically committing piracy by cloning and reusing that VM. It's a different issue all together though. and yes it is a thing.

Whenever I try to search for Windows on the site it just shows nothing or shows me Final Fantasy XIV for windows whatever, I can't find any actual windows keys on there myself just the ones you linked to. I already have an original activated windows 10 but I wanted to see if they had keys for 8.1, however I can't find anything non game related

Hi...Coming into this a little late. Where are you getting the Windows 10 pro media? I used the media creation tool created the USB key and it still installed windows 10 home. When I try to upgrade with the key purchased from the mentioned company it fails. I chatted with customer service and they are stating that I need the windows 10 pro install media.

I noted that this method only works on uefi systems and those with Windows 10 Pro already installed. I can't seem to Change Product Key from current Home key to Pro key without a wipe and reinstallation. Is there an automatic method to "upgrade" home to pro without a reinstallation and keeps a users files and settings intact?

are you getting and OEM or an ESD code? because that can give problems. I know they sometimes give OEM codes.

I have heard of keys bought from vendors online can sometimes can become deactivated later - but if i bought a win 10 key and used it to upgrade to win 11, i would think even if the win 10 side was deactivated ( at some point in the future) Id still have a working activated Win 11? Or is that not right?

Upgraded my old acer PC from windows 7 to 10 home and had that ugly water mark too. Was looking to get a work around or to buy a cheap key online. Had a sudden brainstorm of an idea and started to look for a product key sticker on my PC and found it on the side. Had this PC since 2015 and never noticed it before. My windows 7 crashed and did a reinstall of it and got an error message that it couldn't install. After fixing that problem I thought maybe time to get windows 10. Works like new now.

Maybe a bit unrelated, but if you plan to virtualize on a machine that has a Windows 10 key within the bios, then you can use that key to activate a Windows VM... that is if you aren't running Windows on that machine still. There's a CMD command to reveal your key. :D

I got my key for Win 10 Pro off of Kinguin for $26. It's an OEM key and I had to talk to MS support to activate it but I'd rather spend $26 on a key reseller than to give Microtrash $200. It's a way of avoiding TWO moral issues for me: the first moral issue is that I disagree with piracy, even when the company is scummy. The other moral issue is that I try to contribute as little as possible to companies like M$ when they clearly want to screw over their customers at every turn.

I don't get it? I am now in the process of building a new pc, i have no windows operating system bought Yet (unfortunately with modern motherboard and processor I am Forced to buy 10 or 11 and I do not even like ten, never played with 11) so if I have to buy an operating system it should come with a key, so question is how do you even acquire an operating system with out a key, i don't get it.

What Microsoft goes in terms of offline account, privacy, windows update among other things make consumer version of Windows a pain to use in general: uninvited windows update disrupts the work, no way to turn off phoning home without serious modification, bloatware etc. Windows Enterprise and LTSC are more forgiving, plus LTSC has no built-in bloatware. Too bad that the volume licensing is the main roadblock to legitimately get access to those versions of windows, and MSDN subscription is not cheap.

Bought a key. Didn't work flawlessly. Had to put windows in airplane-mode. Use Microsofts generic "I want to upgrade"-key, do the reboot-dance and then with airplane-mode off, activate using the new key. Microsoft appearantly doesn't recognize a surface pro "genuine" enough 😉

Why do windows at all?

Just tried to buy one, and for some reason they didn't accept MasterCard, even though the site clearly said so. I have other cards too, but prefer MC because of safety, so no key for me sadly...

For thos eiwyh old computers, just reuse the old keys, I activated windows with a win 8.1 key. I reccomend saving yout key in a text file back it up. So you always have access to the key if your drive dies, you can active it on a new drive. I rebuilt my previous gaming pc, and I'd this. I suspect ein 7 codes might work too. If your drjve dies, you lose the code. I don't know if Microsoft saves the serials in the Microsoft account, that would be a great feature, in case ppls drive die, so they don't have to buy win. Jus tlog in and copy and paste code. I know some software companies do this. List with serials for all software you have from them.

On Windows 11, it won't let you do some personalization settings until you activate it

if you are a student you might want to check ig your university has (almost) free windows keys for students. I remember my university had such a deal where you could buy key for educational purposes for the price of a coffee.

Hey, those keys work, I use the keys from an other dealer, but does it mean they are LEGAL? I hoped you tell us an explanation why those keys can be legal. Here's what my dealer says: he explains he buys those keys on various sales. So it kind of works like this: a company buys a large number of keys from Microsoft, in bulk, at a discount price. Then they are left with some of the keys unsold, so they resell the keys cheaper on a sale. Here come our dealers who hunt the sales, buy the keys again - in bulk and resell them in retail with a small margin. But this information is not confirmed. I like to believe it, it's a comfortable explanation. What else could it be? A product of a cracked keygen? All keys (both physical and digital) can be cracked. By cracking I mean discovering the formula used to check the validity of the key. If there is a formula, not just an online database of cryptographically safe random generated keys. The other explanation sounds pretty sketchy. Many manufacturers actually sell some of their products way cheaper to some customers. It's not dumping. If they lowered the main price to that level it would become unprofitable. But selling just a part of the production at a "dumping" price is actually very profitable. But the only way it could work is to make it HIDDEN, unofficial, not generally connected to the selling brand. Using the Ockham's Razor and assuming Microsoft got smarter than using formula based keys - those keys are most probably resold from bulk sales. So - most probably legal, but I'm not 100% sure.

Thing is, I don't want to use Home and Pro versions of 10. Even with debloating scripts and other privacy tweaks, the Telemetry in them still can't be completely turned off. Why go through all that hassle when I can use LTSC? It's clean by default and only needs a few Group Policy tweaks to be truly private(tho I still use Simplewall to block telemetry just in case). It's the only version of 10 I am willing to use as I love how close it gets to feeling like Windows 7. And there are free, open-source ways to activate LTSC, so no danger of infecting your machine with malware either. Another point is that 16-22USD isn't chump change everywhere. Some of us live in developing(or worse) nations where for $16 you can get food for 2 days or more. And for that you get an OS you have to spend time debloating, if you value your privacy and system performance. It's just not a good deal.

I've bought around 10 of the Win 10 pro OEM keys myself but from a different seller. All worked perfectly but did require the use of the SLUI to get them activated but that was only a minor inconvenience at most to get ten Windows activated for the price of one at retail..

Be EXTREMELY careful when buying cheap Microsoft keys for Pro or Enterprise versions of software. What companies will do is purchase an Enterprise license from Microsoft, sell that license key out to consumers (which breaks the license agreement) for next to nothing, then when it comes time for the seller to renew the Enterprise agreement with Microsoft, they don't and then all those licenses consumers purchased are no longer valid. It's a rather old and rather well known scam within the business.
