but how do you do this? every time i’ve lost weight i’ve gotten very thin but i wasn’t lean and still had a lot of body fat despite being a very low bmi 😐

Does the fact that my waist measures go down (when i am in calorie deficit) but there s no or very slow change in my hips and thighs figures ties to what you just said? Is it normal?
