Respect to the driver and awesome rig, the obstacle is simply hard! Me personally i wouldn't try anything i can't crawl! But my rig is just a rubicon XR, nothing with a crazy lift and power like those rigs :) Glad everyone was safe and not hurt
@@crawlerutah so true. Strange things happen, rollovers happen even when least expected. Been 4 wheeling 47 years now and even the easiest trails can get sneaky. Glad to hear no one was hurt, and the jeep was drivable, safety is no accident.
Watching this, it’s easy to see what went wrong. You would need to be an absolute top notch driver to save that one, once it started going wrong. One might argue that people should not try something like that unless you are indeed a top notch driver, or are in a vehicle you don’t mind rolling. It’s an unfortunate outcome, but it looks like the driver will have the opportunity to reflect on this one, and carry on.
Totally agree, I have an idea what I would need to do, but don’t think I could do it once I lost momentum or if traction control cut power (my keep does this even with it off)
Right before he rolled I was saying I think I could do it right 90% of the time, but I wasn’t sure I could save it that 10%, hit reverse or neutral in a very short time, then steer backwards down a long steep slope, still could have damage when you hit bottom.
@@crawlerutah traction control? Yikes. That must be very scary if you are rock crawling, and your vehicle does something other than what you ask it to do.
Things can go so wrong so quickly on this obstacle. I won’t do it for that reason, you need to be able to get it into neutral or reverse and then steer backwards down the slope all in about 1second. I think most finding themselves in the situation would have a similar outcome.
They work. But only so much. Its its a 200 ft drop. Itll bend badly but like this.ive seem them twist a bit but they do their job in these types of rolls.
