Installing a RSI Smartcap on a 2021 Gladiator 

My clamps were very splayed/tweaked like yours and one actually blew out when torqued to 9ft lbs. RSI made new clamps over the last year and now they look nice and uniform so I got them anodized black so they blend in 👌🏼

Love 💕 and light to all 💕. Great cargo top for your gladiator. I purchased the 2020 gladiator rubicon and went with a metal bed tool box top that fits flush with the bed rails.

Love this cap. I just bought a Gladiator and I am trying to figure out what I want. Only thing about this cap is the price. $4900 Canadian 🇨🇦. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. Hard to swallow that one

watching your vid again. fasteners that you were having difficult with is opposite. should be on the inner side to tighten easier?

I guess because we are Jeep people they figure we can do all this assembly. it looks heavy but you guys did a great job.

108 in/lb is only 9 ft/lbs, not really that much at all.. Do you think this job would be possible with only 2 people?

Can you have the smartcap on and the hardtop off?

Did the weatherstripping for the base of the Smartcap come with it or was that something you guys purchased seperately and added on?

i keep going in between this and the alu-cab topper for my gladiator! this looks way better and i like the moly panels but the alu-cab is lighter and all one piece so idk

Don’t know the clamp is different for the Tacoma but our instructions for out c clamps are 6 nm.

Good, but too expensive over the typical truck caps...

Really bulky front window design, looks like it would significantly reduce visibility out the back.

My order for the RSI smart cap will not even built until august so I'm told...irritating!

108 in lbs is 9 ft lbs. There is no way that is 108 INCH pounds and rather FOOT pounds. It’s a common mistake in cases like this as 90% of torque wrenches are in foot pounds and not inch pounds.

4k never going to happen. Maybe if it was made in America and I didn't have to assemble it.

The cap is too heavy. It will reduced the payload of the vehicle even more. I guess if you're not overlanding the jeep you'll be fine.
